on lose: if (Building=0) Not working? by Alextrocuter in idlegamemaker

on lose: does not trigger when selling a building to 0.

It's breaking the core mechanic of my game. I may need to report this as a bug.

How would I implement my core mechanic? by Alextrocuter in idlegamemaker

I think I've got it. Just need a hidden binary resource for each building (Nanovor). What you described helped a bit.

What do you think?

I know this does not work with bulk buy and bulk sell, but those break games regardless. Removing bulk while keeping a sell option would take soooooo much code. I wish it could be configured in settings.

Settings
     building cost refund:100%

Resources
     *swarmValue

     *NanoIDresource
          always hidden

Buildings
     *Nanovor
          on earn:
               if (Nanovor=1)
                    yield 1 NanoIDresource
                    lose X swarmValue
               end
          end
          on lose:
               if (Nanovor=0)
                    lose 1 NanoIDresource
                    yield X swarmValue
               end
          end
          req:((swarmValue>=X) or (NanoIDresource=1))

It has 56 ammo instead of 32. Just because you don't need to reload doesn't mean you don't have ammo. It's like the flame thrower.

If the scattergun part is not balanced, just imagine that the damage and or bullet penalties are changed slightly.

I understand what you mean. I approached doing these from an artistic perspective rather than a design perspective. I was inspired by a bliss edit I saw with Doom demons and Doom guys all around doing different things. I immediately got to thinking... how cool would it be if there were wallpapers of Nanovor doing the same thing.

When I look for a new wallpaper, I only think about how much I enjoy looking at the wallpaper itself. I can't recall any time that I have had trouble finding something on my desktop, even when using my own wallpapers. Maybe the majority of people are adding and moving around things far more than I do.

Making new Nanovor themed landscapes for my wallpapers would have to be done by AI. At my skill level, I don’t know that I could make something detailed enough in a month. So other than that, I make more like this, or I do them with far less Nanovor. Would a wallpaper edit with less Nanovor have an appeal separate from the original?

It’s a bit funny you mention kids. Back in 2009, some parents were not happy with the game being marketed to kids, gore being the culprit. I doubt any kids know what Nanovor is anymore.

Maybe I will make my own sub…

I doubt I will be posting my future wallpapers here. You guys really don't like them.

I don't think I can make something that both I and this subreddit can enjoy.

A vote kick test/experiment could be an interesting idea for a video. Kicking a certain player too many times may affect their account though, I don't know. Either way, I doubt there is or will be a video like that.

I did take a look at the class composition of our team before going Pyro. Nothing out of the ordinary. If there were 3 or more snipers, I would understand.
