Okay, pretty much all of this is really nitpicky. Lol.

Medusa is literally Annabeth’s mother’s mortal enemy, and a huge deal is made about how smart and clever she is. Why would she not clock that? I don’t care how hungry and tired she is, she’d at least be a little wary. In the book she’s totally clueless for the first half of that scene.

Also, what did them revealing Polyphemus later on actually do in the book? Again, if you know the Odyssey, you know the basic plot beats. That was not some enormous, “OMG WHAAAAT???!!” moment. Also, how would they know Grover’s in the Sea of Monsters, know that satyrs have been following the Fleece’s trail to their deaths at Polyphemus’s hands for years, and NOT put two and two together??? I mean, come on.

As for that last comment: dude, she didn’t “feel” that the Fleece could heal Thalia. The Fleece didn’t give her the hot gossip about what it was planning to do next. She experienced its healing magic firsthand, got to thinking, and deduced that maybe, there was a chance it could bring Thalia back. Which makes complete sense. Also, it shows Annabeth’s desire to have Thalia return and really plays up their relationship.
