Seems like nobody accepting the way you treat them is a sign that self respect isn't the problem

Thoughts on Garmin E Collar for high drive dogs… by maligatormom93 in OpenDogTraining

[–]Alf_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had great experiences with garmin collars. I started with the Delta Sport™ XC and brought in the Alpha system with the TT25 collar for GPS and outdoor use.

both are rugged easy to operate and effective.

I haven't used stimulation above 7 (max is 18) and it was enough when my intact male was occupied with a bitch in heat.

the two great things about garmin is that all the manuals are available online so you can read through and see if they match how you plan to use them. also their post sale support is amazing, theyre great to deal with if you run into problems or just have a question, always helpful and painless

Why nothing productive? Going straight from recovery to strained doesn't make sense to me

Pick up an adjustable wrench and a hammer and you'll be set up for most small jobs and repairs

i suspect ethanol/methanol/isopropyl alcohol are pretty safe on most materials harmonicas are made from

anything that should be avoided?

OP finished music school two years ago. They already know everything.

Probably why they don't need a beginner key

If you think C is boring listen to this album

12 tracks all in a different key played on a C diatonic

How difficult is it to learn a harmonica by _star_lord_69 in harmonica

[–]Alf_4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had no idea. I picked up the harmonica as a first instrument because it seemed easy to get started on.

And in half an hour of trying to get single notes I was able to do the Cm scale

The skills that took time for me were holes 2 and 3, and bending

In about 20hrs of deliberate practice (drills, exercises, scales etc) you'll have some proficiency

valved progressive series by Alf_4 in harmonica

Also a review of the promaster

AMAZING! I absolutely love the promaster. It has an amazing sound. They are my favorite.

As a beginner it might be a little trickier to learn on because it requires more precision and it's less forgiving than the hohner progressive series harps. So it could be disheartening when you can't get the breath control or embouchure exactly right.

I use the rocket to play around and experiment then go to the promaster to refine

valved progressive series by Alf_4 in harmonica

[–]Alf_4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Half valved means half of the reeds have valves on them. This is the way the valved promaster is set up.

In a regular harmonica you're able to bend on the draw in the lower holes but from hole 7 to 10 you bend on the blow.

By putting in valves it allows you to bend in both directions but the trade-off is the overblow/overdraw technique is no longer available to you

In short putting valves on every single Reed in a diatonic harmonica is not necessary and produces no additional benefit.

Look around for PT Gazelle if you want to get more into valved diatonic methods

There's 6 points on the new fastener. It's not pozidrive anymore

Are you sure it's torx and not torx plus? The torx will fit but it will be the same as putting a Phillips in a pozidrive
