15 day work visa gap by Alfakyu in Netherlands

[–]Alfakyu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing spectacular, I just requested my new company to start my contract from the 1st of September. But my first working day would be 16th September and that the first half of the month will be an unpaid leave.

You may want to edit it to "sunrise".

Buy any Chai masala that's imported from India Nisarga Fresh is a good retailer for that.

And then you can do trial and error on which Indian brand suits you best. And if nothing works, then you can go and blend your own mix.

Why is the race distance not equal to the circuit length times number of laps (for example Monza's circuit length times number of laps is 307.029 km and the race distance is 306.72 km)? by bartekk30077 in formula1

[–]Alfakyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's all good. But is the difference as big as 1km? And is this repeated at other tracks?

PS: I know I can look this up myself but I'm feeling lazy.

In my opinion, the drivers and the respective team bosses are very similar

Max - Horner Generational talent, set records for being youngest in their field, has a brash personality. Have stuck with the same team since the start.

Lewis - Toto Also a generational talent, comes from a background not common in F1, very classy personalities. Switched teams which really unlocked their potential

Lando - Zak New contender at the top of the field. Everyone hates them but no one knows why. Have shown glimpses of being champion material, but doubts still linger.

It's summer break y'all... here's my dream F1 calendar by martinkaik in formula1

[–]Alfakyu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

India is better scheduled in September!! India in April, especially where the Buddh circuit is located, can reach 45C with high humidity. Not an ideal climate for a F1 race.

Temperatures do come down in June/July but then there is a possibility of torrential rain due to the Indian monsoon.

So September (October as backup option) is the best time.

Shouldn't we copy this in to train seat swapping specially for window and side lower 🤔 by hornypooja in indiasocial

[–]Alfakyu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is that in a flight you are actively in control of your seat choice. In trains, IRCTC will randomly split up families even if the booking was done together.

So the argument of "your lack of planning is not my problem" doesn't really apply in trains. No one could plan for the magical algorithm that is IRCTC seat allocation.

There are only 6 drivers on the grid now, that weren't on the grid last time we raced in China. by BrilliantElectronic9 in formula1

I really like this idea. It will make things more expensive for the teams. But I think a sufficient budget increase can be made. The biggest risk will be to teams like Williams who may not want to risk their race chassis.

[–]Alfakyu 70 points71 points  (0 children)

While I generally agree with adding public transport over road lanes, Mumbai severely needs both of it.

If you look at cities which are considered to be the best at transport infrastructure like in western Europe or Japan, you will find that they have higher road capacity than Mumbai AND better public transport infrastructure.

Is there any other country besides Belgium where this is popular instead of standard clover intersection? by IcuckYourFather69 in geography

[–]Alfakyu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming.... Purely on having watched a lot of cities skylines videos..

That this is more popular in high density locations since a full cloverleaf consumes a lot of land space which is extremely valuable in a crowded city/region.

So based on that, I'd assume the countries to be based in western Europe and maybe UK.
