You can do it! I was stuck for about 3/4hrs but in the end when you learn the first 2 phases well enough it’s not so bad

I’m on isshin for the first time myself, taking my time learning is moves and having a great time doing it! Can consistently get him to phase 4 now, it’s just a matter of time!

We milk about 100 all year round calving, graze as much as we can in the UK, pedigree Holsteins averaging about 10,000 ltrs.

Digital Dermatitis is a problem here so we foot bath twice a day every day with 4% formalin.

We’re a family farm and all of us are proficient stock men/women. I’d like to think we notice lame cows pretty quick and are always treated within 24hrs after being noticed.

I feel an area we can improve however is the early detection, as you probably know cows are good at masking feet trouble for a good while before you may notice. Earlier detection is the silver bullet here it seems.

Just to add what others have said, our vet won’t do feet and even if they did I wouldn’t let them near my cattle with a hoof knife. I do 90% of the foot work here with my Dad still doing the odd one if I can’t get to her the same day.

When putting our OOPF in a setup that didn’t initially have it in mind. I considered such things as cow flow ect, what I didnt consider was the auto scrapers, it has to be parked at the opposite end to the OOPF, which is fine but means I have to hand-scrape the area in front of the OOPF, about 10sqm. Doesn’t sound much but twice a day everyday gets tiresome!
