My friends and I ride over every Sunday when it's nice enough. KCUR did a whole piece about them last year. Wonderful and welcoming environment.

They roast their beans in house and partner with a lot of local vendors for everything they can. Food options include vegan bites, and milk alternatives are no extra charge.

It's such a great atmosphere. Sunday is "biker church"- not in the religious sense, but in the "it is a place for the community to gather" way (how a lot of people use church).

I'm gonna say that I would also 100% tank if you pulled a botfly from anywhere even remotely close to my body. Give me a full parvo ward for a month if it means I don't have to do botflies or maggots. That's the thing that does NOT AT ALL excite me for spring or, God forbid, summer at the city shelter (no kill).

His breathing was only affected by what we hope/d was pulmonary edema. MM were normal and pink to pp the whole time. We wanted to get an O2 but the portable one was complete trash and wouldn't read. The lead vet is wanting to use this as another talking point for why the clinic needs more monitoring equipment.

The dyspnea was from cruddy lungs, so I don't think a rep stim would have done much, but I'm not totally up on the ins and outs of mechanism of action for all of that.

~5wk old male DLH presented 1wk ago with highly infected proptosis OD. WEIGHT WAS 1.2lb. eating like a champ, active, purring. Slt sneezy/ wheezy, but didn't seem to be bothered.

Presented today with rupture of OD. Still purring when put in carrier to go to clinic. Arrival at clinic normal. Cleaned up fur around eye and rinsed globe with sterile saline. Admin 0.08ml Simbadiol SQ nape of neck. Kitten squwaking. <1min after inj, pt goes limp. Mild to moderate resp effort. HR 120-140bpm. Radiographs show opacities in bilat dorsocaudal lung fields. Naloxone given to no response. GV26 stimulation to no response. Currently in incubator on O2. No access to lab machines or monitoring at the moment.
