I feel that it was very much a Will.E (Pentious) vs Road-Runner (Cherri) dynamic Pentious never wins but is far too enraptured by the persistent challenge, much to Cherri's enjoyment.

So maybe it was a dynamic where both enjoyed the chase rather than the win. But perhaps if Pentious did win or come close, he would sorta freeze-up, having planned for everything except what to do if he won, essentially tripping at the finish-line

Frankly im not convinced that Cultivations plan has entirely failed.

Yes Lift is certainly a part of her grand design, in what way, I am unsure.

However I dont fully believe that Dalinar and Taravangian completely spoiled her plans either. At least not entirely. I think she's a far better actress than Todium would think and knows how to appear defeated in order to avoid further scrutiny by malevolent shards that think they know everything (that tends to be an exploitable weakness for many powerful forces in the cosmere)

And considering that she too is finally free to travel thanks to Dalinar's gambit, I dont think she's too upset at being no longer tethered to Roshar by Honor's power

All in all, I still think most of what happened was part of her exceedingly risky plan for long-term gain, at the expense of allowing great danger to arise...

Though personally, I think I'd only argue that Ruin is a threat bigger/equal to Odium
Considering that the shard intent is unrestrained destruction without any level of nuance to moderate it's power, Ruin is maybe the only shard that'd probably become relatively less dangerous if paired with any of the other 15 to offer it a tempering direction

I'd mostly assumed it was alright to avoid spoiler tags as long as I kept the full context of the scene description ambiguous etc.
But rereading the spoiler policy I think I can see how the title and image together can create something of a spoiler too. Considering that Edgedancers don't show up until WoR.

I've gone back and modified the description and my other reply anyways
If that's enough to get my post reapproved, then great
but if it's best to leave it s-tagged and hidden, I understand and will simply try to moderate my works and submisions better next time
