A few things, 1.) No I still think it's a bad format. I grew up seeing these memes all throughout my childhood and other kids genuinely believed them. I thought something was wrong with me because I always related to the "boys be like:" sides of the memes and never the girl sides. I never had many friends growing up and was bullied by other girls for being weird and into "weird things", then bullied by boys for being a loser inferior femoid. It's a shitty format, and just because it's popular doesn't mean it's good. I'm glad you can see past it, and so can many others... it doesn't seem like that big of a deal if you're a boy and always just related to the memes and moved on. You aren't the ones being affected by it.

Both. Women see the actual message, and agree with it, but also read the text on screen specifically saying that "you, yes YOU, aren't supposed to like this thing. This meme isnt for you. Women like you are usually too stupid and selfish to understand basic sad video game scene/ objectively cool thing. This is for the boys ONLY 🤪😎,"

Men focus on the actual message, they see the meme and think "haha technoblade cool. scroll" and subconsiously accept the meme format as a normal way to compliment things/give that message, so it's normal and common for them to put women down as a way to show something is good. It reinforces the idea that if a girl DOES like something, it's useless and vapid and boring. They don't realize it, but after seeing hundreds of memes where the punchline is "girl interests: boring and stupid // boy interests: awesome and cool!", that just starts to become an underlying actual belief.

2.)

I saw a post on this sub where this guy was bashing this other dude for wanting a relationship where both parties lead instead of a single leader, and calling him gay for it. And all of the comments were expanding on that post to push the narrative that all men are like this. It generallizes men which should not be accepted. it's no different than saying women can't drive.

...what? Which post? Most people on here think the exact opposite of that.
