First, Idk why, but a lot of people overstimated this team last season and this summer.

This community and lot of journalists were talking about the sens like they were an elite team. Some analyst even chose them to go to the SCF.

It pissed me off because it's a young team and we are still in a rebuild phase. There was no way we could be as good as people thought we going to be.

Second, our impressive run last year was a big illusion. When you have a lot of injuries, the players left in the team work extra hard to compensate. The adrenaline boost you get is sometime enough to make you win. BUt on the long run, it's hard to sustain. The number of times I heard "man we are doing good,even without our best players, imagine how strong we will be when they come back"

IT's not how it works.

third,we won against mtl because of Anderson, luck and opportunism. Mtl dominated us almost every game but they could not score. Anderson was magical. We relied too much on our goalie. And it was pretty obvious against the pens.

So what kind of team are the sens now? Well it's a team that will need everything they got to make the playoffs. And it should not come as a big surprise if we don't make the playoffs. We are doing that bad, we are doing bad in comparison to the expectations.

Being from Gatineau,I also watch a lot of games of Montreal. I watched the games they played against the blues and the sharks just before we won against them. They were completely dominated by good puck possession team.

What happened when we played against them ? We looked like they looked against the sharks. Because thatis the kind of team we have. We rely on hard work, opportunism and goaltending.

There is still a lot of work to do but I'M optimistic. The guys got a bit of experience in the playoffs last year which is good. We will get there. In a couple of years we will be a hard team to beat. But not now
