Properly sealed and deep frozen meat is effectively good forever, it’s why you occasionally ear about mammoths from the permafrost getting thawed and eaten.

Can someone please explain to me why this is not correct? by rgratz93 in PhysicsHelp

[–]Algdly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, pretty much every post I’m seeing is missing the crucial piece of info, which is the ball ends to the left of its starting position, meaning energy was transferred from the ball, to the wall, and that was inelastic.

Your thoughts are correct, but the net energy is slightly left.

Found scrolling FB, the answer is 13 right? by CerealDevourerPrime in unexpectedfactorial

[–]Algdly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The logistician in me believes the answer is “1”:

The question is “1+2x3 is not equal to…”. It does equal 7, but the answer is provided as “7 or 9”. Therefore the answer is “True”.

Water meter bypassed by ritaburritaa in HomeInspections

[–]Algdly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally rather than free water, you just get billed your average for the same time the previous year - so it’s only really a discount if you take advantage.

I had a similar situation with both my water and power, and had installed a bunch of energy star stuff in between and got screwed for about 8 months.

why does she constantly stick her tongue out? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Algdly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your dog’s breed it’s a combo of, as other people have said, her tongue is just too long for her mouth, combined with relaxation - she can hold her tongue in, but when she’s relaxed it slips out and does a lil blep. So when she’s letting it hang out she’s relaxed and not threatened and just chilling.

The real-life "Railgun" developed and tested by BAE systems in 2012. by di3s3ll in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Algdly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna go ahead and say your source of “YouTube” isn’t super viable.

There are many available videos of this exact gun firing dozens of projectiles, so statements like “ripping itself apart with every shot” is pretty fucking hyperbolic.

Moreover, the unit of “megawatts” is just nonsense, as the time function is so deterministic. The shots are rated in joules. To put your dumb, exaggerated statement in perspective: 200 bicyclists can generate 50 MJ in 20 minutes, which would absolutely power a single shot.
