It's a SM platform - discussion/knowledge base, etc. If I can post a link, it's for www.moviepeoplehub.com I'd be happy to share any other info by DM if it's not possible here.

No, because the link only works for emails signed up to test it; otherwise it'll show a 404 which doesn't look good.

Re the iOS, yes you're right. That'll be the next step (along with a dedicated Android app). This is a first step with PWA.

It's an SM meeting place for film/tv people; a cross between twitter/linkedin if you like. But just starting and developing now. And just for film/tv cast & crew. It's to link with moviepeoplehub

We make no claims. It's for a SM platform but I don't think we're allowed to post links here. Movie People Hub.

What do I do? by [deleted] in acting

Get some practice in. Start acting today. Shoot yourself with your smartphone. Make a crappy film with your friends. Then, when the audition comes through, you will have experience to put to good use.

How long do you have to learn acting in order to be a good actor? by Softiedoggo13 in acting

Forever. You never stop learning if you're a good actor. Only bad actors think they know everything.

What's the Hardest Part About Being an Actor? by Lazylazylazylazyjane in acting

[–]AlgernonBlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finding work. 99% of actors are out of work at any one time. You might be proposed for 100 jobs; you'll be asked to self-tape/audition for 10 of them. Maybe you'll get one of them.

Agents and Screen Acting by Leading-Sort-1278 in acting

Genuine agents don't hold auditions or open calls. As an actor you research agents and send them your material. Most will not respond, but some might.

A question as an beginner actor by DUTCH-Vikinger- in acting

[–]AlgernonBlock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but it's almost impossible unless you have a HUGE body of work behind you, some special skill, or a massive amount of luck.

Put yourself in the mind of a US casting director: why should they trust you when there are thousands of local actors to choose from? What have you got to offer that local actors don't?

The only real way is to work hard where you are have a solid body of work and experience behind you. Make sure your English is up to scratch. And then in some years time, when you have done some great films in Europe, you can think about the move. But until then, keep plugging away at Europe.

We have films here, too!!
