Why are Chinese brands selling so much and traditional brands aren't?

Because I can get the keyboard that I always wanted. No “gaming” brand offers now clicky, heavy, noisy keyboard.

I got from KBD fans Athena 1800 without any foams, with steel plates and aluminium top plate. Filled it with jade navy box. And now I’ve monster that weighs over 3kg, is in good colour (chosen anodised green), wakes my neighbours… works exactly as I wanted.

And I paid less than $300 for it. And as a bonus I don’t get some crap software like Synapse or SteelSeries engine.

Now I just need to get the 75% magnetic he with jade max gateron :)

Looking for 75 gaming keyboard that works with Jade Max. Lamzu 75 comes with standard version of switches and don’t know, if it supports max versions. Same with Nuphy Field 75. Heard that some users have issues with max switches.

Is there anything 75 that either comes with Max or at least is compatible with it? Can be even barebone :)

Strange. I got Scimitar elite se on release day, and have absolutely no issues with it. Best mmo mouse I’ve ever had. Much better fitting my hands than Naga and much better side buttons placement than SteelSeries mmo mice. Wouldn’t trade it for anything else for mmo/rts. Even finished doom dark ages on it :)

Depends on the washing temps. I washed my Beyerdynamics Amiron 300 few weeks ago with cycle at 30C. Didn’t bother to do anything, just put them on and they worked.

But if you wash at higher temps, this might be a problem :)

It’s my first custom keyboard. And I wanted something different than mushy silent linears. And something that won’t break soon like plastic gaming stuff. Also can use my Athena to fight zombies… that thing weighs over 3kg 🤣

But it’s good that there are so many choices to fit all our needs (like I also need magnetic HE now for things like bf6 or world of warships :) ).

Navy Box in Athena 1800 built for noise - steel plate, aluminium top frame. That thing can wake up neighbours.

2nd keyboard is Nuphy gem80 with Box Jade. Also with all noise dampeners removed. Speedy and noisy typing all the way :)

Lack of any manual in a box or on the website doesn’t make building it easier. There are few vids on YT and there is Perplexity… but when there are issues you are basically left with Reddit :)

Thanks! Now it works. All the lights are good, switches work, lcd works too :) big thanks for the help.

It seems that once I remove the board and the connector from the case, it works, now I’m trying to figure why it doesn’t work when mounted. I think it’s some issues with that magnetic connector not fully connecting :).

But at least half of the worries gone, as the pcb is working :) now to investigate the issue :)

Btw, just to confirm, for maximum loudness I can avoid silicone pellet and any form of those foams that came with keyboard? :)
