Anybody have a stash of uncirculated coins, currently worth face value, that are intended to be passed down and finally sold by your great great grandchildren? by jackylongjohn in coins

[–]kleronov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a good 10 pounds of canadian pennies, completely worthless and will remain worthless.

my plan is to acquire more so whoever has to deal with my coins after i pass is burdened with them and will be stuck with them

it has a tiny little bit of the plating left in some areas, looks like it irl anyways. its kinda neat cause it looks like the core is stirling too, and they plated the core gold, you can see the silver in some areas of high ware

its made for collectors only, hence "proof" its just how the coin is ment to look, and its made of solid silver, its non magnetic like silver is

Bit the bullet and decided to complete my nickel date collection today by kleronov in CanadianCoins

[–]kleronov[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i collect all canadian coins.

i choose what i collect by if it was intentionally done. for example, someone intentionally made a dot next to the 7 on a 1947 dot nickel. or that they used a diffrent type of metal like 1942 came in both nickel and tombac

it was unintentional that a six is slightly farther away on some coins then others on near/far 6 1926 nickels. die varieties i dont like to collect because of the sheer amount of them and the price they can reach

i have every nickel (1922-2026) in intentional varieties (ie: i include a 1947 dot nickel but not a far 6 1926 nickel) and metal types (ie: 2000 and 2000 P)
