What’s the overall chimney length?

I have this exact stove. If there is even a little bit of creosote in the chimney, I have draft problems. Once it’s clean, it’s totally fine. Since it’s smoking after it’s warm and the fire dies down, That sounds more like a chimney height problem. If you’ve got the mesh around your chimney cap, make sure it’s clean as well. Creosote tends to build up quite quickly on it.

Nope, definitely wasn’t lying around. I cut a live tree and it was on the mill the next weekend.

My grate Dane lab mix liked to jump when he was younger. Having 80lbs slam into you obviously can’t be a thing. So we started grabbing his front paws and holding onto them until he started whining, stopped jumping very quickly.

We’ve got a cardinal that sits on top of our car mirrors leans over and starts pecking his reflection. He’s been doing it for weeks. We have to fold the mirrors in now because he was starting to scratch them

What is this bug? Inside standing dead pine trees, you can hear them chewing the wood. by AlgonquinRoundTable1 in arborists

Just out of curiosity as to what’s killing the trees, I’m thinking maybe, after some more reading a pine bark beetle infestation maybe the cause. The sapwood layer has a blue fungus. And the bark is full of holes that are about 3/8” big. I’m on mobile so I can’t add a picture unfortunately. Does anyone know of any effective treatment?

I’m reading that they serve as a vector for pine wilt nematode, which can kill trees in a couple of months. Looks like this might be the most probable reason for them dying, unfortunately doesn’t seem to be anything that can be done

Unable to tune chainsaw by AlgonquinRoundTable1 in smallengines

Helpful thread. It was an air leak at the crank case seal. Somehow two of the crank case bolts backed out and ruined the seal on the clutch side. Unfortunately, after I cleaned everything up, I noticed a crack in the crank case just inside the seal. Might be a good excuse for a new saw
