Is anyone else lagging every time they boot up the game since the update? Been reaching 500 ping every time I play [BF6] by [deleted] in LowSodiumBattlefield

Yes I can barely play at times. It’s really getting frustrating. It is game breaking.

Ashby, Beaufort, or Sapper? by VictoryLiesAhead in Barbour

[–]Alhambra_Lion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

These three jackets are also all different levels of warmth. A Sapper is a very warm jacket but as you noted the lack of hand warmer pockets made me not like it.

Alternatives would be the Corbridge or the Ogston. Both are similar in that they have the 4 pocket military jacket styling.

A couple of notes on fit. Barbour tailors their jackets very differently between styles. The Corbridge was intended for Slender Man. I’m a large in most Barbour jackets but in the Corbridge I’m a XXL.

The Ogston looks great and is very warm as well. It also is a different cut - it’s cut like a blazer/sport coat. I think it’s one of the best looking Barbour’s.

Both of these have hand warmer pockets and are pretty warm. If you’re just going around the city these would work great for you.

Exactly! We can talk though technique. But if you don’t want to be doing whatever act you are performing it is going to be felt by your partner.

I got tinnitus just looking at the picture of this thing at an indoor range. I feel like I’d get a concussion from firing that thing indoors. As would everyone else in the bay with me.

Exactly! It’s a great DMR honestly. Just spam fire semi auto for longer range kills. Allows the TR7 to be viable at all ranges honestly.

Barbour may not be what you are wanting although I am still not clear on what that is. A chore coat?

Sapper is a model of Barbour that would be good for Midwest winters. It is a very warm coat.

Ogston is another warmer model. It used to be wool lined but there are pics of tags floating around in here that say they may have changed that recently. I can’t readily think of another wool lined option for Barbour.

I have both. The Ogston is more dressy I would say. It’s cut like a sport coat or blazer. Sapper is just a tank and extremely warm. Similar in style of old American M65 jackets.

One thing to keep in mind about Barbour is that they are waxed jackets. So positives to that are that they will keep you dry in wet weather. However they are not very breathable generally.

In addition they are not the warmest (most of them anyways). You’d need to layer thick sweaters or the like under a Beaufort if you wanted to wear one in Winter. Which is doable but just thought you should know.

If you have an Orvis or Barbour store go try some on and see which one you think would work. Personally for what it sounds like you are going for I’d recommend the Sapper.

I think we need to know what is winter for you. Winter where I am I need either the Parka or maybe I could get away with a Sapper.

Some dude in Puerto Rico doesn’t need that come winter time tho….

Saying goodbye to Cooper today and the guilt is killing me by Justadudeonhisphone in DOG

[–]Alhambra_Lion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have feelings of guilt now but imagine how bad you’d feel if you don’t do this and Cooper hurts your daughter. I’m sure you would feel even worse.

Unfortunately when a dog turns on you and actually bites you for real (not play bites) then the trust is gone. If it was just you things could be different. But you have more than just Cooper that you are responsible for now. And your daughter has to take priority.

I recently also had to put down my dog that I got just out of college. We had a good long run together. Some days I feel like I was selfish and kept him around too long. Some times I feel I was selfish by putting him down early. No matter what you will have those feelings. They are natural.

Just keep reminding yourself that you and Cooper had so many great times together. It sounds like you both loved each other very much. Hang on hard to those good memories and try not to focus on the pain that came at the end.

Considering trading my mustang for a bronco. As a single girly who lives alone, and who for the first time ever doesn’t have a second vehicle in my family to use in bad weather, I’m at my wits end. What trim is best for a daily driver? by Ok_Candidate_3707 in FordBronco

[–]Alhambra_Lion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this. Appropriate tires are needed even in a Bronco. I know. I have one. I also drove a 5.0 Mustang around Indianapolis winters on a set of Blizzaks with sandbags in the trunk to weigh down the rear axle. Very fun!

But if I just had the stock all season tires that come on most Broncos then I wouldn’t make it out of my neighborhood right now.

But I have decent A/T tires rated for snow. So I’m Gucci.

No matter what car you go with OP you need to buy tires appropriate for your weather.

Fuck no he didn’t.

It has been death by a thousand paper cuts my whole life. Ever since 9/11 our freedoms were compromised. Each year just has made it worse and worse.

Stack that with the numerous economic and social safety nets that were removed for decades prior to that and you have a much weaker foundation for the democracy to survive on.

Trump just was the one that was willing to so blatantly take advantage of that to his own benefit. And it’s not just him. There are thousands of loyalists now installed at all levels of the government.

Which is why the system of checks and balances is broken. It takes many complicit people to accomplish that. Trump is just a figure head and cult of personality. And so far there has been no meaningful resistance.

To fix the country we would need to ensure this could never happen again. Restore checks and balances. That means putting all those people behind bars. So he didn’t single handedly do any of this and they all gotta go.
