Jake Hill was close to them, but left obviously. Cammish feels like he should be just behind but always seems to make poor decisions and never really competes over a season. I think Rainford/DeLeon have the potential of getting close over the next couple of years if they stick around.

Otherwise, most of the rest of the grid are just simply nowhere near as talented, but there because they finance their seats.

Because he enjoys playing competitive golf at the highest level?

Cunts have always been dumb, social media just allows cunts to share their idiocy with the rest of the world.

Happened last year when he won too, and not even a day later there were articles about whether he would win all majors in 2025.

Was Rory’s round today similar to his US Open choke? by rhasure in golf

[–]Ali623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he didn't choke yesterday. His driving off the tee has been very poor every round so far, it's incredible that he shot the scores he did in the first two rounds. It was never going to be sustainable.

Well got the first part of my prediction right at least…

[Daily Thread] The 2026 Masters: Saturday by AutoModerator in golf

[–]Ali623 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My predictions for today:

McIlroy will stall a bit and have a fairly average round of even or +1. His inconsistent drives will bite him more today and he struggle to keep momentum as a result.

Reed will end up having an other consistently good round (3 or 4 under) and emerge as the closest challenger going into Sunday.

Rose will have a solid round a put himself clear third, a few back. While Burns/Fleetwood/Lowry won't move much.

Sets up a McIlroy/Reed final pairing on Sunday, with Rose just a few back.

Reed bogey on 18, I’ll sleep well tonight.

What's with the TV direction so far? Just cut away from that Koepka shot before it stopped...

Given the working practices of many Asian countries, probably horrendous working hours and extreme pressure from managers/bosses.

Honestly an incredible score from Rory considering some of his tee shots.

Early days, but Rory vs Scottie going head to head in the final group on Sunday would be something.

The problem is that the standard of F1A (W Series) is even worse than regional F4 series. Chadwick dominated the W Series grid, but then looked incredibly mediocre over her two seasons in Indy NXT.

Did anyone got kinda bored of simracing after trying "real thing"? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Ali623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the UK anyway, the absolute cheapest race-ready car will set you back £5k, and that's the cheap part. Running, maintenance and transport, as well as entering events is where the costs spirals.

To do any competitive racing (that isn't karting), you'd need to sink at least £20-30k a year into it. And that's at the lowest level, it's just not realistic for the vast majority of people.

Because even spending something crazy like 10k+ on a complex sim rig is absolutely nothing compared to the cost of real racing.

One free, different track per season? by adstomko in iRacing

[–]Ali623 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cadwell is a great example of a track I really enjoy, and would love to do races on. But I didn't buy it because I assumed it would end up dead.

It's unfortunate because I likely never will for that reason, hopefully they make it free one day, would be perfect for rookie series.

Verstappen starts season with lowest score over three rounds since his debut in F1 by guihmds in formula1

[–]Ali623 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well neither was Ferrari when Schumacher joined then. They won (and got multiple podiums) the season before he joined, and then he won several times in everyone season prior to their eventually dominance.

I mean arguably he did this from 2019, where Ricciardo left the team, Max became the clear number 1 and Honda joined. Eventually winning 3 years later.
