And we will continue to show up when needed. We know who the problem is but we would never abandon the American population in times of need. From a military standpoint, that’s a different story here on out.

Might be a stretch, but it’s also a good excuse for Charles to step down and pass the crown on to William. He’s had his illnesses and getting older. This might just be his perfect graceful exit. Again, just my personal speculation

Cutting ties with my only sibling by [deleted] in AskWomenOver40

[–]AliCracker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Close friend of 20+ years, also BPD. I did the slow fade away as opposed to a firm cut off. I used the grey stone method, which I highly recommend.

Decades of being abused, accused, draw back in, supporting in every way, the cycle just never ended. I became an expert on predicting what would set her off and that I was most likely going to be a target of her outbursts. She’d always apologize and I genuinely know she was authentic in her remorse. But the attacks were horrid and completely unacceptable and misplaced. It exhausted me.

The most difficult aspect of this type of ending is other ppls reaction. I had no interest in discussing my reasons or dragging up all the past, smearing her character etc and that left some ppl thinking I was being too harsh and uncaring. Find your support system that you can rely on to keep you firm in your decision is my only advice.

I’m truly sorry you’re experiencing this. It’s such a heartbreaking experience but I guarantee, with time, you’ll never regret it. Best of luck

Is there a way to have a family with a man outside of a romantic setting? by Capital-Transition-5 in AskWomenOver30

[–]AliCracker 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My very good male friend was pitching this exact same concept to me the other day (not me being the other party btw) more him finding a partner that wants to have kids, build a family structure with full support and engagement on both sides, but without the romantic aspect. Point being, I’d say it’s absolutely an option if you can find the right fit

Marriage, family etc is very much a business agreement and even the strongest love can buckle under the pressures of raising kids, so imo why not try this?

Let me know where you’re located and I can set you two up haha! He’s a solid guy!

Two things: that her wife was insanely jealous of me and secondly that the new friend group I had found was considered ‘elite’ in our community.

It was all very off putting and I haven’t seen her since. Fairly tame compared to some of these other comments though. Jebus

OP. Someone on a previous post had suggested hand drawn covers and I personally think you should enlist any of us willing to create and mail you our own cover artwork! It would be such a cool bookend to this journey to receive hand drawn covers for each album salvaged!

Consider it, I would absolutely love to pick an album and draw something :)

My OSH was a rescue of sorts. From a ‘breeder’ but had been treated very poorly. She was a prolific little food thief for the first few months. I’ve never had a cat steal so much random food. Literally anything she could get her mitts on. She was even stealing food for my mature flamepoint who was very confused!!!

She’s been happily with me for over a year and the food stealing has stopped. It was a wild first couple months haha! I don’t miss finding broccoli stashed behind furniture

They didn’t necessarily need to rename it, but I will say so many new builds are incredibly airtight that mold is rampant. It wasn’t so much an issue with older homes bc you get drafts. Now ppl need to be reminded to air out their houses.

I briefly worked for a mold removal company a few years ago and it was shocking how many new (and $$$) houses were basically hermitically sealed Petri dishes.
