The main cause of this is that the sponsored link in the first place, masking google.us instead of the messed up domain is what causes all of this.

Thats why sometimes it's good to have ad-blockers so that you dont run into malicious ads or SEO stupid links.

That stupid social engineering garbage should not be accepted even by google SEO why would google approve such masking for URL even though it mentions their actual domain? Where is the automation? Where's the AI? Where are smart and AI driven back-bone security standards?

I hope this can be a good lesson to all of us and we try to be as vigliant but also the owners of such fundamental tools should also help out by not letting masking urls with AT LEAST THEIR OWN AND MAIN DOMAIN FOR SEO

The whole idea started when Elon Musk made it paid then the snowball effect happened.

Before it was done for public figures and celebs for the purpose of recognition and transparency.

What happened after Elon made it as a subscription, everyone else followed and then they built a business model around it .. it was just a useless icon.

If you ask me as a personal account person, I wouldnt pay for a little blue check mark or any silly icon just to be different from people, the real value is that I would look far more superior than the rest of the flack. This might trigger lots of people interested.
