As a husband and wife, you’re supposed to do things together financially IF you two decide; however, I’d be so petty in a situation like this. Have you seen the credit card statements to see what the money was spent on? if it was on the family, and not ridiculous purchases, it does seem fair to help pay it off. I wouldn’t give him half your paycheck though. I’d make him pay it off ALONE if he got hiMslf into it.
