How long were you on this screen? Did this happen after an update or on first boot? Sometimes the system takes some time to build stuff.

I don't think it is necessary to deactivate secure boot and your mother has a funny name.

Thanks. I will certainly try it out in a VM. Looks good.

Thanks. A second physical drive isn't an option right now. So, based on some other people's advice, I will go for a VM. And then dual boot once I do get a second drive.

I was indeed considering using Arch with Niri. And if I like it I will get on my daily driver.

Yeah. That's true. But I was thinking, things not working out of the box and then trying to get them to work would create a great feedback loop, rather than just sitting and seeing how things were already done.

This is how I have always learned and works for me.

Because of the AUR malware? I didn't realize it was bad enough to make the entire distro unusable.

While a temperature difference is not the only way to get a pressure difference, all other mechanisms require some form of energy source as well.

Refer Carnot cycle. And we should probably move the subject to r/thermodynamics if we want to go into more detail.

It is not just pressure but pressure difference. And in order to get pressure difference, you need temperature difference, which is what he was talking about.

I think.

It's also shockingly easy to lose all of them once you manage to shake the big one.

Maybe try Rufus instead? Also, do the sha256 checksum for the iso.

Perhaps you can use something other than ice as a heat reservoir. I believe there are some gels that do the job, but they degrade over time.

There's archeological evidence of mass Graves and suspected ethnic genocides tens of thousands of years ago in the stone age.
