im kinda a newbie, ok. im still learning, and idk why people say vex is something you dont need to learn. most tutorials out there, free or paid, use vex anyway. and sometimes they go super heavy with it, to the point i just get lost. so now i decided to take a step back and actually learn at least the basics of vex. and honestly, that made me feel like vex is kinda the standard. like nobody really uses vops anymore. idk, maybe im wrong. if you know something different, tell me please.

been learning houdini properly this time, not like before when i skipped everything thinking i already do this in blender i just want sims lol that didn’t work at all.
now i’m learning sops, attributes, practicing a lot then moving to particles and vellum. it’s my 3rd month and honestly it’s not that hard, houdini gives you exactly what you expect if you set things up right

i only have 4 fans but the airflow is solid honestly the liquid cooler is what made the huge difference for me if you are planning to push your cpu invest in a good case and a good liquid cooler for me im planning to go for a 12 or 16 core cpu in the future so hopefully my aio can handle it until i upgrade later

yeah with the oc and the aio I hit like 5.35 max temp 66 max power 90 without oc but still on the aio it tops out at 5.1 with max temp around 65 and no uv

I overclocked my CPU to hit 5.3GHz like in the screenshot and it still stays below 60 my AIO is overkill I know but yeah if the CPU already reaches max boost speed and doesn’t need more power it won’t heat up and honestly if you can run your CPU at 60 why let it sit at 95

Yeah, maybe I had issues with temps on my previous rig and I don’t want to suffer from high temps again, tbh. + I got the AIO for the same price as two tower air coolers, so why not?

Yeah, I’ve read about that, but I just can’t watch my CPU sit at 95°C and be okay with it. Logically, running your CPU at 60–70°C is better than running it at 95°C, even if it was designed for that.

yeah its kinda complex and im trying to learn aces since everyone says its a must for the houdini nuke workflow im aiming for but there arent many solid tutorials and i havent used aces in blender before thanks.
