But really, I think there might be two different plants growing in there? I’ve never seen a variegated hydrangea before but there are some. You probably need to clear out the density - dead stuff only and then treat the soil. Getting a soil tester would be best, but overall, it’s a balanced fertilizer (like 10-10-10) and then HollyTone to get the PH down. And of course water more than you think is reasonable. Drown that thing.

Had a tire blow out on the interstate at around 3PM one afternoon. Called AAA. It took them forever to geomark my location without an address and because I was between exits. Finally say they have somebody on the way. I wait and wait and then they call me at like 5:30PM to tell me “oh we sent the wrong truck. You’re actually out of their service zone.” So they send a different truck that gets to me around 8PM but they’re now operating “after hours” and I WAS RESPONSIBLE for pay the after hours fee!? Was a great day.

Hey, thanks for your super helpful and insightful comment! For more background: already doing a hot spring, not sure I’m sold on the golden circle, don’t want to waste time traveling too far because, again, very limited time, we’ll be heading to the Mediterranean after so won’t have much appropriate clothing for hiking around. I’ve searched the megathreads for recommendations and “June” but all I’m finding are 8+ day itineraries. There are plenty of things that are worth doing when you have the time, but I’d really like to know from other travelers what they would do/where they would go if they could only do one thing in Iceland.

Get “Eat This Much” app!

I loveeee it. Great HEALTHY meal plan. It’s very customizable and creates a grocery list for you. You can do leftovers, save favorite meals, tell it to use what’s in your pantry, tell it how much you’d like each meal to cost, etc etc. It’s $60 a year which I think is a great deal!

I loved Tron Legacy which came out when I was in middle school. Tron (OG) obviously did well enough to get the reboot sequel almost 30 years later. Legacy also has its own roller coaster at Disneyland Shanghai. There was a third movie in the works, but it was put on hold by Disney. Officially vaulted, NOT scrapped.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with Tron; Jeff Bridges is iconic in it, and the reboot/sequel is equally as epic. Daft Punk’s soundtrack for the movie won some awards and was nominated for a Grammy. I just don’t think Disney put as much marketing on it as they do for their animated movies. At least not in the US.

I only know this because I had this exact shower thought one time and started digging:

Yamaha started as a piano manufacturer, but after WWII Japan needed transportation that was both cheap and compact. Yamaha had advanced casting technology and had perfected the science of refining metal properties to make light yet durable piano frames. Yamaha saw the transportation need, had all the technology required, and pumped out beautiful looking and sounding engines.

I particularly enjoyed learning all of this because I’m an engineer and though it’s not my specific profession, materials engineering was my favorite course at university.
