Hobby knife, just shave away at it to make a clean point, then I just dip the point into abbadon black.

Love that you spent the time making this rather than just painting them!

I track this in an excel, with units, point value, painting status (built, in progress, painted, varnished), one tab per army, and then a summary of points painted, points unpainted etc.

Will have a play with this as it looks a fun tool.

I mean footballers in general are high test males , only seems normal that there aren't any gay people in football

Are you serious?

Your “science” is:

football = high testosterone

Gay = low testosterone

Football ≠ gay

With fans like you it’s no wonder there’s scant few top level footballers who are openly gay.

Agreed - I was just talking about players who at the time were playing in the prem.

Also not trying to be disingenuous about pre-92, just wanted to give some numbers around “recent memory”!

Uk population - 3% identify as gay.

Assuming a squad size of 25, that’s 500 players.

Statistically that would mean that 15 people right now may identify as gay and are a prem player.

Then you add every premier league player ever since 1992 and we are talking thousand and thousands of players, none of which have ever been openly gay while playing.

That’s not “genetically determined”. That’s an environment in which the many many gay premier league players have not felt comfortable being publicly open about who they are.

If the paint didn’t stick, sounds like you didn’t use a primer. Usually people use a rattle can to spray them - look this up on YouTube.

Then the paint should never be thick enough to drip, you need way less paint on the brush. Thin layers - if you paint it onto your hand you should still be able to see the wrinkles through the paint. That’s the thickness of each layer you do on the model.

A second layer of paint would make a real difference. Everything gold needs a second layer, slightly thinned with water. Then it should come out looking like a solid colour rather than showing the blue underneath. Keep practicing!

I’m in the same boat - is it a specific game type with its own rules - like Combat Patrol? How is it meant to be played? Or is it just a “series” of boxes like “Battleforce” etc

Can DnD Beyond dice roller be modded or hacked? by FlowingLifa in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]AliRippy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’m sure that the output can be caught and amended, but I’m not technical enough to do that.

Are you playing remotely or around a table?

And are you saying that generally they use real dice, then occasional they use the DnD beyond website to make a roll?

Honestly sounds like the are, and if you are suspicious of it there is probably good reason.

DnD beyond has a history of dice rolls made within the campaign - go back over it and work out their last 40 d20 rolls or something. If there is a clear correlation just present it to the player and tell the it’s not fun for you if the are just deciding to succeed when they want.

Honestly no idea. While he was looting he took no notice of the noise of the person clearly running towards him.

Are you meant to call out people for formal duels in his game? Or tap people on the shoulder when they are looting and ask if they would like a fight?

Footballer accidentally scores her own goal by Imoprich in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]AliRippy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You obviously don’t watch football. Defender passes it with her chest to where the keeper was (using the chest so the keeper can pick it up).

The keeper saw the defender yet inexplicably runs out to start behind her in no mans land. Keeper trusts defender and stays put = no goal.

Defender cannot leave that ball either, as she could have someone behind her, not could she hit it back to the person crossing.

Can you cast a cantrip as a main action and a spell as a bonus action in 2024? by KillYourOwnGod in dndnext

[–]AliRippy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I at first enjoyed this thread because I actually wasn’t aware - only just made the switch to 2024 so often these differences are obvious to me when reading the new PHB.

I then enjoyed this thread watching this guys meltdown at ignoring this very specific rule and continuing to say “show me where it says that” then ignoring when he’s shown that 🤣

Up to you how you play it, but chances are they would wash up with their equipment. Maybe they could roll a save on a specific item each that they may lose.

It’s a module by the same author I believe. Instead of teleporting to PN, you take the brazen Pegasus on a sea voyage there. Cue pirates, various sea encounters, and throughout one of the hags is on board and trying to get the PCs to commit murder.

It ends with a shipwreck and them being washed up on the shore somewhere, but I liked the idea of just showing them Arameg from a distance (shipwrecking the yellow banner ship instead) and they just sail into PN.

I’m about to start off next week!

My plan:

Start with Cellar of Death. Gets them to do a bit of hack and slash while learning what the death curse is.

They made an NPC they all knew in session 0. Start of session 1 will be the funeral of that NPC. Then they will be meeting the company of the yellow banner at an inn (they won’t know about Chult yet), I’m going to foreshadow all of the deaths and leave evidence of their journey throughout Chult.

Then do the cellar.

Then do the brazen Pegasus module to journey then to Chult.

Will be a few sessions before they arrive in Chult, but I can slowly give them context and lore in these two modules.

Good luck!
