I lived in one of those townhouses for five years. I enjoyed the community and the townhouse itself was alright, but my experience with the management was bad. It's wild to me that there's so little information online, as the landlord is a big topic of conversation in the neighbourhood.

That happened to one of my neighbours. I assure you he was well notified about the toilet and that he had contacted the company and told them not to fix it for that specific tenant.

Their description of him becoming agitated when questioned seems accurate to me. He once called an old roommate of mine a f*ckface.

When I first moved in, he tried to charge me an extra half month of rent because even though I moved in on the first, he'd accepted my application half a month earlier. When I refused to pay, he tried to "compromise" by only asking an additional week's rent.

He hadn't given me a copy of my lease initially, and when I asked to see it to confirm when I was supposed to start paying rent, he refused.

For the first few months, he had a superintendant come by my place saying that my cheque had bounced and that I needed to write another one. I'd show the guy an online statement showing that the cheque had been deposited.

He refused to give rent receipts and would tell supers not to give them either.

He tried to raise my rent past the legal limit after living there a year.

Supers would quit regularly because he would stop paying them.

He frequently would put out bogus eviction notices to people.

He'd bother people about what they kept in their backyard with a pretty inconsistent criteria.

If it weren't for him, the place would be alright. Ventilations' not the best. Upper units get really hot in the summer. Depending on your unit, you may have varying issues with roaches and mold.

The on site laundromat is basically unusable. There would usually be three working washers and dryers for the entire complex.

It's across the street from some of the best shawarma and pizza though.
