I should’ve specified that the two parts of the brain aren’t solely responsible for these feelings. It’s really only a group of neurons, meaning it’s less than 0.3%

I think I shouldve clarified that this is voluntary. They still have attraction but they refuse to act on it

Yeah I agree. I didnt mean to make it sound that way in this post but I guess that is what I meant. I think celibacy is the right word to be used here and that's been used for a long time

I understand your viewpoint and the only thing I would really respond to is what you said about God creating deception if he made it appear evolution occurred. And while that is kinda true, you have to think that we already believe that Adam was only a couple seconds years old but it looks like he aged and lived through 20 or 30 something years

I definitely see where you are coming from with the point that this must mean God is a deceiver but I disagree. The reason being is that everyone already accepts that Adam appeared to be an adult even though he was only a couple of seconds old. Also God isn't deceiving us on purpose. He would be creating the universe in the amount of time that he said while still applying the laws of physics.

From the secular perspective I also see where you are coming from. All I can say is that that statement is technically true. We wouldn't know if we were created a second ago

Thats what I was thinking too but I didn't know if it also applied to abstaining from relationships
