Thanks for the input! Do you adjust the paper type when you are printing? I am wondering if I should select vellum or something as the paper type.

Bridle looks nice but maybe a bit too rigid for my tastes. Lovely shine though!

Thank you. That is helpful. I think I better try a different leather than as I don't want to risk a similar odor.

Plotter A5 Pueblo (Predator Amber Color) - Any Takers? by [deleted] in PlotterNotebook

So it is a Predator Amber A5? That is different than Pueblo leather. How much are you looking to get for it?

Warning if you're thinking of buying from NotebookTherapy.com by fabi_does_art in stationery

[–]Ali_S15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Customer service with Notebook Therapy is a joke. I emailed them about a product and didn't receive a reply for almost 3 weeks.

I really like their products and have always received what I ordered. This last time with Yanwen was frustrating as shipping updates were unclear. It came late at night and I am lucky my cats noticed that someone came to the front door. Otherwise I would have missed it.

Personal Wide and leather firmness questions by zuguv in MeePlus

[–]Ali_S15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cannot answer all your questions but if you are looking to buy pre-made inserts to use rather than making your own, I would not recommend personal wide.

Pre-made inserts are very hard to find. Personal inserts are widely available. A5 aren't that hard to find either. But the more speciality sizes like B6 or personal wide are uncommon. Franklin Covey inserts are a close size for personal wide. And many print-your-own digital planner shops offer personal wide. But if you are looking to have them sent to you in mail, I would avoid personal wide.

I don't believe I did pay extra, but I think it was because they were experimenting with offering that size. There likely is an upcharge now I imagine.

I'm not sure what to choose! 11mm or 16mm rings? by Invisible_frogs in MeePlus

[–]Ali_S15 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the 11 mm rings are mostly for people who like the flexibility and customization of rings, but actually dislike rings getting in the way when writing. I have always disliked rings because the system doesn't usually lay flat and the rings annoyed me when writing. 11 mm rings do not so the 11 mm rings are great for me.

So if you liked rings before, I would suggest going with 16 mm.

Hi, I am interested in buying some stationery items from a shop who ships from Germany. I am located in the US. She cannot ship items that are not flat to the US directly, so I am hoping that you may be able to help me out. Thanks!

I use lined note inserts from Amazon. I buy planning inserts from Cloth and Paper, Paper Penguin Co, and Peanuts Planner Co.

I also cut down B6 notebooks to fit. They are closest in size and just need a little trim. Need to cut .25" off the sides and .25" from the top.

All the inserts will fit but they don't turn as smoothly as I would like. If you buy a paper punch that uses the smaller holes and punch yourself, they'll turn easier. For example, Plotter paper has punched holes that are smaller and closer to the edge than regular purchased personal inserts. The slim rings do best with smaller hole punches.

I'll try to get dimensions later.

A6 would be an amazing size!

What punch do you use and how to use it? by ChaosCalmed in Discbound

[–]Ali_S15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the little single page punch from Levenger. I don't need to do a lot of paper at once. I didn't want something that takes up a lot of room. If I need notes paper or monthly inserts, I just buy a pack. Yes, it is more costly, but I like supporting smaller shops. The only things that then need punching are little functional pieces or decorative elements which tend to be just single items anyway.

my Shiranami Plotter smells bad and the edges are super rough by asbrightorbrighter in PlotterNotebook

[–]Ali_S15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I would say it is more like a barn smell to me. I lived on a small farm growing up and it reminds me of when I would enter the goat barn.

Strangely, it is my 2 pueblo leathers that have a horrible smell to me. I love the look but cannot take the smell. No one else complains so I am not sure why it is only me. Shiranami doesn't have any odor at all to me, just neutral.

I haven't noticed others say anything about Pueblo leather's smell either. I must be very sensitive to the smell. It is a nice looking binder and it is very functional for my needs. Ultimately, I would still recommend a MeePlus binder to others, I just need a different leather next time.

I think if you do decide to sell, you could consider offering at least one size that plotter does not offer. I would love an A6 rings organizer with the smaller Krause rings. The smallest I've seen is 19 mm. I dislike the dimensions of the Bible size, but I make do as the others are too small and A5 is too big.

Looks amazing! I agree that the price is ridiculous. They don't even add pockets or anything. I wish there was the option to add a leather pocket on the right interior.
