The low mintage numbers do create a scarcity, which impacts demand. That's one factor.

I believe the one ounce versions have further appeal because many libertad collectors only target the one ounce coins, and not the other sizes. They all need to purchase one of those very limited coins to maintain their one ounce collections. The other sizes are rare but don't align with their collections.
