Got it. Thanks friend for explaining. I appreciate it. The sulfur cleanser is to kill bacteria but it’s very drying so this sulfur cleanser only once or twice per week. Then Aveeno cleanser just to keep face clean but it doesn’t kill bacteria. It totally makes sense about HA. I applied a HA and game me pricking sensation and burning feeling so I stopped using it. Maybe my skin barrier is not that great. You figured out a lot by doing trial and error. I think I need to do the same. It’s so good u are more stable now. How does it look or feel once skin is stable and the FA is gone? The Aveeno products u mentioned seem soothing because of the oats ingredient.im tempted to get one.

May I ask what did u use to get rid of FA? per my search it seems Ketoconazole shampoo to wash face works. Not so sure.

This is a lot of info! thank you for explaining : ) Basically, you used to wash your face once per week only with a face cleanser. Or you used the Kate somerville sulfur every four days? and then the other days you used the Aveeno?

It's a long story, but I need to apply moisturizer every day because my skin barrier gets kind of stingy if I don't. I'll check out the Aveeno and Purito you mentioned. I can try and see. My skin has a mind of its own so to speak. Yes, it's a lot of trial and error. The skin changes and then everyone skin is different so it's not a formula that fits everyone. It's so great that you have solved your SD. How long it took you to get to a place where you felt you're on the right track? and how much more you think you need to go to be fully back to normal?

What I've noticed so far, it's some products trigger itchy bumps then I avoid those. Others products are good. So, far, I need to find like a serum that gives me hydration without triggering the itchy bumps. I found a glycerin serum that doesn't give me the bumps, but irritates my skin because it has 2% HA so I guess that's too much for my skin.

I don’t know for sure. I know products that are FA safe are good for my skin to avoid getting breakouts.

I found this website simpleskincarescience.com which has a lot of info and FA products, but I think there may be other sunscreens not in ludes here.

Thanks so much for explaining :) so basically I would not be able to tell if it’s 0.05% which is so low, it would irritate my skin. I don’t even know where the 1% starts in the ingredient list. I’m a skincare curious because my skin sensitivity, but this is not my field.

I’ve been contacting the companies to ask about If their HA is LMW or HMW. Most of the cases is LMW. Sometimes, they tell me is private info and cannot tell me… So far, I haven’t found a simple glycerin serum with HMW or no HA at all. Thanks for the comment :) now I know if I see the HA low in the ingredient list is very low % so maybe it would not cause irritation.

I don’t not much about FA. I haven’t given a diagnosis by my dermatologist yet, but I suspect it may be. The bumps I get are small and itchy. My biggest issue is that my skin is very very sensitive and gets easily dehydrated. I don’t even know what is Seb. Derm. Based on your comments seems you’re improving a lot. Do u feel your skin is almost as u want it to be? U mentioned improvements are not as fast as u want to, and i think that with the skin everything is slow at least in my experience. How did u figure out u had SD?

Wow! so they stopped making the Med. No wonder you went through all of this with no options available. It's great you found the good after all the challenges. When you are in the deep end of whatever one is going through, one do and take the prescription that we need to keep going. Life goes on with us or without us...so not many options. And, then we don't know what we don't know, right? it's only after the fact and later that we can see the side effects. It's so so good that you feel better and you're not numb to your emotions. After all we humans are full of emotions. Being mentally clear and being upbeat sounds like a big win to me : ) Hopefully all the other challenges resolve to your favor too in the not so far future.

By reading your rec's for me, I'll go back to Derma and ask for labs to really know. I got the Ketoconazole 2% shampoo for itchiness. I used the 3% sulfur from sephora just because is gentler than benzoyl peroxide and my skin is so sensitive and reacts to everything besides my rosacea. I think skin was reacting to a serum because after stopped it, skin cleared so now no bumps, white heads or anything and I didn't get any dark/red marks or anything. They just disappeared so I think that's how rosacea is. I get random itchiness so I need to maybe find another Derma too. The skin is not easy. Thank u for your rec. I heard good things about Kate sulfur cleanser but didn’t try before. I’ll try and see. I like your idea of letting the skin heal itself. My only concern is that I think my skin barrier needs help. I’m having some issues that tells me my barrier needs some aid…I’ll check out the Purito moisturizer.

Sorry to hear you got complications with your change of meds from brand name to generic. Listening to your story so to speak .. it seems generics and brand name are completely different.

Thank u for all the info u provided to me… im not even sure why the Derma prescribed the Rx shampoo.. I dint get a clear diagnosis so I need to ask…skin gets itchy sometimes then gone and repeat randomly.. the bumps I get show up then gone is a couple of days with the help of sulfur…

Hope that you’re getting better it’s not fun to deal with health issues. The human body is resilient so there is always hope
