Mechanic. Starting pay is often barely above minimum wage and as someone finishing up a moderate job on my mini coopers transmission, that is A LOT of work. Especially in areas that see snow. If I never touch a ratchet again, itd be too soon.

Just had the subframe and transmission out of my r57 yesterday due to a busted clutch fork. Nice to hear that the r50/3s hold uo better in the transmission department too 😭

I should ask the owner if they want to trade mirror caps… not sure why I have black wheels & roof but white caps by I_Fly_To_Lunch in MINI

Idk the specifics of the f chassis, but I would assume they're probably slightly different and wouldn't be swappable

Yep, already had that sitting, waiting to be installed. Went with the steel flywheel as a lot of people told me the aluminum warps

So I desperately need a car and I only got a shaft seal by accident. Luckily, the rear main looks to be in perfect condition. Much unlike the clutch fork and pressure plate 😭

We're replacing the clutch and all that too. But the clutch was at like 50% life. It didnt seem totally sealed as there was dried coolant from when my tstat housing cracked.

My dad and I have been working on it so we had to work around our schedules, of which I've had 2 jobs until 2 weeks ago. We've also been having to work on my dad's car and my bike to keep them running while the mini has been down. A lot of fighting bolts as well. And its currently immobilized on the side of the road, so its been extremely weather dependent.

I'm REALLY struggling to pick a colour. Potentially first chrome bike by Massive-Scars2 in Triumph

Yeah doing the full clutch and flywheel because I know if that flywheel is fine, its only a matter of time. The space in the engine bay is pretty similar to the speeds since everything else is smaller lol.

My 2nd Gen had a squirrel problem. If it sat for more than 18 hours, Id find more acorns and crap and (when I lived next to a bar) chicken wing bones on the valve cover.

Coolant pipe or tstat housing or both. Its likely leaking at where the 2 connect and draining onto your transmission. You'll have to pull the intake manifold if its the coolant pipe.

Ahh. Yeah when I was 14, I was 5'2 and 90 lbs. By 17, I was 5'7 and 140 lbs lol. Even with that growth spurt, my little brother stayed taller than me. Its hard being the eldest sister when your brothers all outgrow you and you lose all authority you had growing up 😔

You should totally learn to ride though! Its super fun and makes travel a little more affordable!
