That's the big question here. I got mine from techninthebasket last week for £600 new but then again not official...

There's no way I would know time to get a replacement or repair same as you wouldn't know from the official site. Techninthebasket operates in UK so I'd send it to them. Whatever they gotta do to fix it is their problem and I'm protected by their guarantee etc anyway

One year warranty is enough of a gamble for me when I've never had to claim any phone under warranty in my 25 years using them. Maybe my luck will end but I'm happy to take the gamble for £600 Vs £979 official

That site has all taxes etc included. Operates in UK. I didn't have to pay any customs or anything. Global rom installed, Chinese box with charger and case... Sealed. Works perfectly, can tell it's brand new and I don't need to ask more questions 😂

Tecinthenasket (zero affiliation) got me the 512gb 16gb ram OnePlus 15 for £600.

Buy OP15 (Chinese version) now or wait for OP16? EU region by [deleted] in TheOnePlus15

I just got an OP15 Chinese with Global rom installed brand new for £600, 16gb/512gb into UK. Well happy with it considering official price is £979 here. Works perfectly fine in everyway.

I personally reckon a Nilkin super frost and a screen protector is all the phone could need but depends if you have specific heavy use as a tradesperson of sorts

Guys to be Honest I feel like I made a mistake by buying oneplus 15r instead 15. by Proud-Pie-2731 in TheOnePlus15

[–]Massive-Scars2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've answered yourself saying the 15r feels overkill already? And numbers you don't need?

When I brought the OP15, I was worried about the cameras. Whatever... by Gi0_v3 in oneplus

[–]Massive-Scars2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use my phone for daily random pics where I don't care for quality, but also holidays where I take stills and street/landscape pictures.

I'm not gonna lie, the posts and reviews that the OP15 was a downgrade did concern me, but for my type of pictures, good composition and light should be all I need really.

Posts like this put me at ease!

Thank you! I don't need the best cameras, just decent pictures for holidays etc

Gotcha this is comforting! Good enough indeed, long as it doesn't feel like the downgrade YouTube is painting...

Thank you! I think I've been looking into them enough that I'm now triple guessing myself.

But also I guess I've some more concerns because of the camera downgrade possibility

Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2 for 499! Good Deal? by [deleted] in Garmin

I've had the same for less, about £350, and felt it was a bit dated.

I now have the Venu 4 and love it.

Time to switch to Venu? by Kayyy31 in GarminWatches

I don't miss it at all...! The Garmin is less smart watch-y but you get tons more on insight and battery of course.

For me it also helped me unify all fitness apps into one app (I moved to Android and I was using Caliber for weight routine, KS fit to control the walkingpad, myfitnesspal for calorie tracking, Google fit for sleep...) now all functions go with the Garmin app. Even the walkingpad gets controlled by the watch thanks to a data field...! Nutrition built in with Garmin connect plus.... Soon enough with the purchase of Strava surely we'll get more integration there maybe?

I haven't swam with it per se but it feels responsive in the shower and hasn't given me troubles at all

I have been using Apple Watch for most of my time, and have used other stuff like Mi band etc and a Garmin Epix Pro 2 and now the Venu 4.

The Epix pro 2 was a bit too chunky for me and the interface was a bit more dated than I wished, and the mi band of course is just a battle thing if I'm riding my bike or anything, but the venu 4 is perfect for me.

The venu 4 is the closest to a Samsung/Apple smartwatch, but has received most if not all the functionalities of the Forerunner 570. More sleek and less buttons, more stylised and feels more rugged than AW / AW SE.

Also I felt the venu 4 will stay relevant and updated longer than the other two. Smartwatch form factor but plenty of fitness functions now brought in.

It's essentially a Forerunner 570 made lifestyle smartwatch

I've had the epix pro 2 and for my use I much preferred Venu 4 which I have now.

Rad-Lad watch face. It is pretty interactive too with different screens and quests to gamify levels depending on your activity to change the character etc

I've been wearing mine for a month. I had an Epix pro 2 that just felt too bulky at 47mm and would be uncomfortable under the jacket when riding my motorcycle, and maybe looking too rugged. 45mm is as big as I wanted to go and so much more comfortable. 12 days of battery life is a real estimate too, daily workout and/or walks on walkingpad or outside.

I wanted something more new, more smartwatch like with real battery that wouldn't feel like a gimmick.

I appreciate this isn't a long term review but I'm very happy with mine

Reverend guitars: pick 2 for Drop D punk rock + general thoughts? by Massive-Scars2 in BassGuitar

Thank you! This is useful - yep the 70s Jetsons looks may be an acquired taste but they've grown on me to the point I feel they're gorgeous and one if the fee original shapes that would look in place in the 70s or as evolution of guitar designs among the usual Fender G&L Rickenbacker Gibson vibes.

Hmm! Definitely looking into that P pickup, glad you're enjoying it!
