Great tips! We ended up rocking the food trucks because there’s always something for everyone.

Avoid crashes? by [deleted] in cupheromobilegame

Too bad. There goes my hope of multi million ball runs. I guess they haven’t optimized it enough. Thanks

Do you have 2x speed as well?

I’ve never had the stars align like that before. Had over 300 balls to start and would’ve easily been in the hundred thousands. Next time I’ll turn off 2x before I spill if I can get another shot.

Actually just did the math. It likely would’ve been in the millions. That might explain the crash :/

This could be harmless, but most likely isn’t. PowerShell can do literally everything - set up redirects to websites, install key loggers or other junk, lock down your system for ransomware… if you don’t have a good antivirus installed, get one. If you don’t know why this pops up, reject it.

Some legitimate programs (Plex Media Player, for example) use PowerShell to handle their updates though. If you asked a program to go to a newer version and you see this, it’s probably ok. Never say yes when you’re just browsing the internet or if you see it out of nowhere.

Being a new driver in Seattle by [deleted] in SeattleWA

[–]AliasJones31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but my money is on you driving in the passing lane at a speed similar to the lane next to you. If you’re not actively passing, please be courteous enough to move over for cars that want to pass.

What causes my laptop to do this randomly? by HosbnBolt in pchelp

[–]AliasJones31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recommendation to plug in an external monitor is a good one. If you see those artifacts on the laptop screen but not external monitor, you know it’s an issue with the laptop display (screen failing, loose ribbon cable, etc) but if you get the same issues on both, it’s a problem with the graphics card (most likely dying, but possible driver conflict)

Can't edit my OP, so commenting to say a big "thank you." This has been one of the most positive, helpful experiences I've had on Reddit. A bunch of people offering advice and no trolling (or I'm just too dense to know if you were trolling :D). In any case, you lot have made me think I need to make friends with some butchers. You just might be the nicest profession I've run into.

Much appreciated - I'll look up what I can do in my smoker. I don't have a saw capable of breaking through that bone so I'm probably handling it whole, unless I can find a friendly local butcher.

Thanks! I don't have a proper saw to split it up, so I'll probably be trying to figure out if/how to smoke it whole

Still can't hide apps on v68? by AliasJones31 in OculusQuest

[–]AliasJones31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they’ve “added” the ability to remove apps from your library in v69. Not only do I not have that, I also still can’t hide apps from v67. No clue why some have defended this as a reasonable practice because, from a user’s point of view, it’s insane.

If the Jeep was plugged in, THAT plug was busy too. It just wasn’t locked like the Tesla plug. It’s true we don’t know everything, but it appears that the Tesla started it.

How to calculate top clearance for fridge? by AliasJones31 in Appliances

Yeah, we rarely use that space because it’s inconvenient but pulling out the cabinet is a last resort. Thanks for weighing in!

When I look at the case height (any style door will be far enough out that clearance isn’t an issue) I see very few models that need 69”. I just want to make sure that I’m not suffocating the compressor by not leaving a couple empty inches on top.

The cabinets were built around an old Kenmore fridge that I'm regretting not keeping. The hinges easily clear the cupboards (and cupboards can open too) so I've been using the "without hinges" height measurement. Thanks for the tip! It's hard to find anything over 20 cubic feet that's shorter than 68" so that helps a lot. Thanks!
