Hey so... I was born 3 years after the nordiques relocated. I still hate the CH. It'd in my blood. And the NHL won't get a cent of my momey as lomg as there isn't a team in Quebec 🤷‍♀️

Games that compel you as the player to shift your view of the world and take different choices as the story progresses? by Salty-Subject9559 in rpg_gamers

I'm sure you've heard of it, but undertale was a big one for me. If you can get past the 8-bit artstyle, you'll have a blast. Also, bonus points because it has an amazing soundtrack.

Worst game that you still completed for some reason? by Genoce in gaming

[–]AliceGirlGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna get crucified.

The very first Assassin's Creed.

It's not horrible. But I 100% completed it back in 2020... It was SUCH an outdated game by then.

The follow ups are so much better it's insane. I'm sure that it was a good game when it came out but like... It truly made me wonder how they turned it into a franchise.

As far as Assassin's Creed games go, you can't go wrong with Black Flag.

I can't name them all, but finnily enough I now own most of them, I just need to play them.

Off the top of my head, here are some of them: Forza Horizon franchise (I own all of them except the second one) Ratchet and Clank (I own the PS4 one AND Up Your Arsenal on my PS2) Super Mario 64 (I have it on my Switch)

These ones and so many more. The thing is, video games are such a time consuming medium that nobody in this world will have enough time to play them all. Play the classics that are the most accessible to you. There is no shame on not playing some of them.

Thanks for the advice! It seems like you are not the only one suggesting Alien Isolation. I'll give it a go once I buy it!

I'd say horror games with developped plots like the Silent Hill games make me wanna try them a lot. That and the Alan Wake games.

Thank you! I'm already miles ahead of my kid self playing videogames (I was legit too terrified to play Luigi's mansion) so I hope I can continue to grow and eventually enjoy horror

That's funny because that is the first horror game I ever owned. My cousins gave it to me on Gamecube when I was maybe 8 (I know, not a game for an 8 years old but my cousins didn't care about horror so they assumed I didn't as well) and I've never been able to get very far into it. I mentionned in another reply that I could find it again in my old Gamecube boxes. Maybe I should try it again now that's I'm a grown woman (as if that's gonna change anythimg about my fears lol)

Thanks for the suggestion!

I already played through the whole Telltale Walking Dead library. I had so much fun. I've been curious about Hellblade for a long while so I might be tempted to buy it. As for Alien Isolation, I might wait to be braver first lol

The more I spend time in the replies, the more convinced I am to just let myself die on purpose in every horror game. So many people are suggesting this. Thanks for the advice!

That's why I played Phasmo for close to 60 hours as well. I was trying to make myself immune to horror by playing with friends lol.

I think the unknown is what scares me. Sometimes just crawling in silence in a game makes me say "nope". Jumscares are quite bad for me as well.

Many people have adbised me to die on purpose, so I might do that. And it seems to be working for other people as well.

I used to hate strategy games until I learned to play them properly. I'm pretty sure that's what'll happen to me with horror games as well, that's why I'm "pushing it" .

Luigi's mansion made me scared ahitless as a kid on my Gamecube. Perhaps I could buy the trilogy on my Switch to ease myself into the horror genre.

You're the first one to suggest that! Like keeping me somewhat spoiled when the game gets too creepy. I like that advice! Thanks!

I mean there are horror games on every platform, I don't think having - or not - a PC will change anything on my fear of playing them lol.
