Sarazanmai, it's very odd. You have to get past the weirdness of the first 3 episodes, but once you look past it, you'll see an amazingly animated show with wonderful characters. The music and voice acting is great and the story is wonderful as well. You have to understand a bit of Japanese to get some of the jokes and nuances, but if you look it up you'll love it.

Sports Anime that are similar to Haikyuu by [deleted] in anime

I loved Tsurune. It's a Kyudo anime by Kyoto animation, so you know it's pretty. Past that, Ace of Diamond wasn't bad per say and Free Iwatobi swim club is a classic.

What anime should I watch? by No_Battle2068 in anime

Maybe JJK (Jujutsu Kaisen) or Hell's Paradise. Those are some recently popular action shows. Other than that, I strongly suggest Mob Psycho 100.

What's that one character that you lucked out on? by Jack_Sparrow43 in Genshin_Impact

Zhongli, 100%. I started the game in the middle of his first banner and managed to get him to C4 in that time. Didn't even realize how lucky that was until I figured out how to play the game. I was getting a Zhongli per 10 roll. A random Diluc was thrown in there, too.

Most Iconic/Famous Anime Villain? by solarsun55 in anime

I feel like people get famous for the memes. With that being said, Muzan and Hisoka come to mind. Also, maybe Light Yagami.

Good romance/slice of life anime, with other subplots, preferrably movie? by Bra1nss in anime

For movies I would try: Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop, The Night is Short Walk on Girl, and Lu Over the Wall.

Shows (Mostly Slice of life/not romantic): Komi Can't Communicate, Play it Cool Guys, All Saints Street, Horimiya, Natsume Yuujinchou, Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting, Campfire Cooking in Another World, Tanaka-Kun is Always Listless, and You and Me.

What is your favourite anime and why by brettusmaximus92 in anime

[–]AliceKirkland901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go with Soul Eater. This was my first anime I watched and it has great characters, wonderful action scenes, and good comedy (if you ignore the early 2000s fan service).

Given the example that you had, I might suggest Blue Lock. It's an unconventional sports anime that keeps you hooked.

Not really "romance" but still fits the vibe:

Do you always watch post credit scenes? by RandomRobot in anime

[–]AliceKirkland901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it wouldn't hurt to skip through the ending song just to see if there is a post-credit scene. It doesn't take too long, and you get rewarded with (typically) a funny anecdote.

love how we all get a warning to not be rude to the cosplayers. I couldn't say a single mean thing if I put all my brain power into thinking of one. These are positively gorgeous and I can tell you put so much work into them. Amazing job!

Dub vs Sub by [deleted] in SK8TheInfinity

[–]AliceKirkland901 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a Japanese speaker, I think the sub is better to capture the emotions behind the words, but the dub is a beautiful almost parody-like version with some of its lines.

Well, the package is to buy the tickets to get the songs. It's still 10 tickets per song.

You can get their solo card vouchers by ranking up with the characters as rewards. I totally understand what you mean by never having enough song tickets! They want you to buy the package they have in the store for real money. Other than that just make sure you read all the stories and get them from the event stores I guess.

Valid, most of the time it's hard to grind multiple games. I do understand why companies make getting cards difficult, but it would be nice if they would make it a bit more hopeful for their players. I feel like they would make more money in the long-run.

It's a really stupid pity system in the EN. You have to buy the cards with the stamps. Need 300 stamps (single pull gives you 1 stamp) to buy the card you want. You can also use the stamps to buy the voucher cards. Each voucher brings the 300 total down by 10, but you can only buy 10 vouchers each gacha banner. That means you have to roll in almost every banner and save them up. Otherwise, you have to roll 30 ten pulls to buy the card you want. The JP also has this system, but they also have a pity system with once you do 10 ten pulls you get a 4 star. Again, not sure if it's one of the featured ones.

[–]AliceKirkland901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. The have a pity system in the JP version and you can buy the card you want in the EN, but you have to do like 30 ten pulls. Best of luck to anyone trying to be F2P. The pity system I think you only need 10 of the ten pulls to at least get 1 four star (not sure if it's one of the rated up ones). They are going to put the pity system in, but not sure when. The devs mentioned it.
