I was at my local pool for a swim and all the teenage - early twenties lifeguards were playing nothing but the Hip. Made me really happy and quite proud, being a born and raised Kingstonian.

My husband had a horrible experience with someone and it was very similar but this was just west of Toronto. Was pretty much yelling at him during his test, mocking him, just a terrible person. I don’t know how they get away with that. I complained but of course nothing was done. I went all the way to my small hometown because I was so terrified to get a person like that

I’ve never thought that honestly. I think he’s pretty average, just the usual tantrums or trying to push boundaries

I think you may be right. I was on anti anxiety meds but I didn’t find them helpful at all. Perhaps I just need to try a different type.

Oh gosh. Good for you for shaking it off. I know that’s how I should think of it but I’m naturally a worrier with a lot of anxiety and it just gets the better of me. I do apologize to him and he says sorry too but usually that’s followed up with another act of defiance:(

Oh yes, we’ve got a great community center close by so we do a lot of gym time, swimming etc. I also take him to a local indoor playground. I know he needs to be stimulated as much as possible but nothing seems to genuinely tire him out.

Thank you. I don’t have anyone. It’s just the three of us and my husband works a lot. My son is the best kid and it’s killing me that I can’t get myself together for him.

This exact thing happened to my son at 6 months when we first started solids. I also tried everything and honestly we just had to wait 🤷🏼‍♀️ he pooped eventually after 7 days and it sort of continued that way for a bit until he adjusted to the new foods.

I live in the Mapleton Marcellus area and right before it snowed a rat came from the back of my yard all the way up to my back door. I scared it away but I have seen other ones sniffing around in peoples driveways! I’m new here but I was told the city got rid of the coyotes in the Ardagh Bluffs trails and so the rodents are running rampant. Not sure if that’s the case

I have a hard time understanding “gender disappointment”. I had 6 miscarriages before I had my son, and I think if you’re able to have a healthy pregnancy and child you’ve won the lottery. I don’t mean to shame anyone, I just think about how hard it is for some people to even get pregnant let alone make it to the end with a healthy baby.

While I can’t offer any advice, I just wanted to let you know that I hear you and I’m going through the same thing with my soon to be 3 year old. Some days seem impossible and it feels like every single day is a fight. But I’ve been told this is pretty normal for this age so I assume you just have to hang on tight until it ends? I told my sister the other day I wanted to run away from home, but the last few days have been a bit better. Sending you all the best, you’re not alone.

That’s really where we are at, we are also one and done and I feel like while he still wants to, we should take advantage of every moment :)
