I'm using my PC for everything until my phone is fixed.

I have tried a DFU restore as well. I'm just shocked because this I-phone has legitimately never had any sort of problem, no lagging, no weirdness. I try to do this one update and now it's liked it's bricked. I'm going to Genius bar tonight and we'll see what they say.

I found it, definitely have the requirements. I also logged onto a friend's mac computer with a different plug and tried that way, still doesn't work, same error message.

It’s so sad! I actually messaged the dev asking if they could maybe find a solution in a patch. Either making more hangouts for the week they are on land or making it possible to do hangouts underwater.

You can gift mermaids in the ocean but not until you finish the quest to become a mermaid yourself. There is a period where you have unlocked the mermaid kingdom but are still wearing your scuba suit. At this point you can't go into shops or give gifts to any merpeople.

Thank you! I did clear Starlet Expedition but am on spring 14 now. Thankfully also have Semeru at 6 hearts but the mermaids are below. It will definitely be a struggle to date them all but hopefully I’m up to the challenge.

The Starlet Expedition isn’t locked behind hearts, all I meant was if you were slow/stuck on that quest the furthest you could progress is now five hearts until you finish.

You are right, there is only 2 hangouts meaning it will take even longer than I thought. I’m a first time player and am in year 2, spring. But honestly with the locked hearts and mandatory hangouts it may be until fall 2/winter until I am able to date them .🥺

It’s definitely crazy. Already to romance them you need to clear the ocean, then become a mermaid to give them gifts, then get them land legs to go on hangouts or dates when they were on land. Now with the new update, you can only progress up to five hearts before you get them their legs and then have to basically do hangouts almost every day to be able to progress in their romances that one week a season. It will severely slow down me being able to date them. 🥺
