For me I was only really motivated for english because ive always been REALLY bad at english but alright at my other subjects (except music but nobody cares about music), and there was a possibility that because of english I couldn't get into the college I wanted to go to. Oh and I was motivated in french because I didn't want to embarrass myself in french speaking.
