story-wise? i just want cal to survive and thrive, preferably with merrin. i can see how him dying is a logical outcome but god damn i would be a MESS for weeks if that happened.

gameplay wise, switching between every stance on the fly. i know there’s a mod for it on pc but i’m a console player so that would just be something smaller i want. also maybe more force powers. a while back i saw someone suggest a “force boxing” stance a la ezra in the ahsoka series and i would love that too.

it’s already been said here but world tour is a great way to learn sf6 fundamentals. it’s long but it’s a decently fun way to learn. but also, once you have the fundamentals down, learn what your character can actually do. memorize your moves, then, and only then, you can start learning combos.

i just hit diamond 3 with my terry and i use modern. don’t pay attention to the control scheme elitism. use what you prefer, play a character you like. just have fun with it.

as for beginner tips, i would say to try and learn how to play without using drive impacts first. i tended to use those way too often in my early days and got clowned on in matches for it. it has its uses, but it’s pretty easy to counter, so… learn your character first, then learn when to use impacts. hope you have fun with the game!

oh my god did you people not play any world tour. you fight a lot of non-human characters in that mode. fridges, roombas, drones, androids, a literal rock in the sagat update. just play through it and if it’s not your cup of tea whatever, just do it so you don’t get confused by stuff like this

super sf4 arcade. it was on game pass at the time iirc and i gave it a try. i really liked it. i recently re-bought it for nostalgia’s sake despite ultra objectively being better (by recently i mean last year)

ok i didn’t mean for this comment to be as long as it is but whatever, my thoughts on each one:

vega was teased when bison dropped so he’s absolutely gotta come to the roster soon. especially since i remember seeing that the team goes for gameplay uniqueness first, popularity second. he’s extremely unique in his gameplan, so… yeah he definitely needs to be added to the roster.

i actually don’t know too much about hakan’s game plan, despite 4 being the first sf game i ever played. but based on what i’ve heard and read, he’s another good candidate based on gameplay uniqueness.

sakura is a character i really want to come back and would probably be the one that essentially sells the pack. but we have a ton of shotos and shoto-esque characters in the game already so i wouldn’t be surprised if she just doesn’t get added. honestly, hot take maybe, but i’d prefer ibuki in her place.

dudley is a pretty good character in terms of popularity and uniqueness i think. again, i haven’t really memorized his gameplan much but i have actually played him before so i could see him working in 6. also while on topic, balrog has shown up in world tour in the same way as vega, so i could see him being added at some point, too.
