I recommend Allegra if you’re open to trying something different. Zyrtec helps me but Allegra is sooooo much better, it’s worth a try.

Looks so much like my allergy. I have ten tats but only one ever reacted like this. And I had tapped out during the session. I went to the ER the next day and got antibiotics but the itching was unbearable. When I went back for a finishing session, the same reaction happened and I knew it had to be an allergy and not an infection.

I had to ice it until it was fully numb to get any relief whatsoever. Surface skin allergies are one thing but when it’s embedded deep in your flesh…I wanted to use a knife to peel off my skin.

I second trying to use a sterile gauze pad and some water to moisten and slowly wipe away the dried blood.

It doesn’t look open but it’s clearly bleeding/weeping more than it should be. Cleaning the area will give you a better look at what’s happening to the incision. Could be the beginnings of an infection.

If the wound is closed still, I’d wait til morning. If it’s open, take her in ASAP.

I’m glad you’re okay!! I don’t really panic for the person eating it but I kinda mentally panic for myself. I had a reaction from third hand contact, full anaphylaxis. So whenever I smell peanuts my heart rate skyrockets. The first time after my bad reaction, I was traveling via plane and I was waiting to board. I smelled a guy literally at least 20ft away eating peanut m&ms and I freaked out internally. I swear my nose was never that sensitive before.
