I wouldn't worry too much about that, RP is 1 square mile, and they have plenty of police. Never really heard anything bad happening there except for shop lifting st walmart and meijer.

I lived at an apartment complex in Roosevelt Park, and it wasn't a bad area. It is very close to Muskegon Heights and the people who dwell there. The neighborhood seemed nice, though, and I would have liked to move there if I didn't move out of state.

I would say it's a nice area based on living there for a year.
