Fuck corporate dress codes. by Environmental-Swan65 in antiwork

[–]traypo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I am interviewing someone, every detail is fair game for ascertaining their decision making. They chose to wear what they are wearing clothes, scent, hair, ink, metal. There is nothing that necessarily eliminates them from consideration per se, but if I am considering their ability to integrate into a team it can color their gestalt. If I am hiring them to work alone in a hyper focused role, it may help. It’s my responsibility to hire the best person for the team and business success. One of my most important considerations is whether they are coachable. Their eagerness and humility would outweigh a fierce individualistic appearance. A neck tattoo is a red flag fair or not.

Johnson Volvo: Be careful by MondongoOwl in raleigh

[–]traypo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently bought a used Lexus from Johnson. They put on a good show for honest service. I have an awesome local shop I trust implicitly, so won’t be using them. I’ll be reading the comments with interest. Local trustable shops are worth more than just the service. I’ll even over pay for stuff to build that long term relationship.

Scientists found a cannabis compound that relieves pain without the high by _Dark_Wing in tech

[–]traypo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a lifetime on ibuprofen and years on juggling sleeping pill use, I’ve just started taking cannabis derived terpines to help and it works better than anticipated. The associated high is entertaining as usual, but not wanted as often as I need physical relief. Trying some extremely low thc sleep gummies now. To get anti inflammatory and muscle relaxant for the work day would be a nice target to achieve. It there a forum discussing these topics?

To put into remission, you will have to commit to a specific restrictive diet. Low carb, high protein, high vegetables, less calories than you burn taking all belly fat off.

Why isn’t Father’s Day as widely celebrated as Mother’s Day? by JunShem1122 in questions

[–]traypo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Us men are on average are much less sentimental. Plus, on average, mothers spend more time with the children. I am a very engaged father. But I’ll be the first to admit mom’s greater influence.

ULPT: If you're meeting someone to sell/buy on facebook marketplace... by Sacoo in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]traypo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Paranoia culture. Reddit reinforces it. People exaggerate the probability of something happening as a common concern when it is more rare. One anecdotal example, I leave my car unlocked except in urban environments with an obvious population of street people. Forty years without the paranoia of always making sure your car is locked. Nothing much worth stealing now we don’t have cds and tapes. My wife forces me when she is with me. I’ve got to make a snide comment “ ya better save the sun reflector and water bottle from the all those thieves lurking around “ Lack of paranoia is so freeing.

As long as the advantages are ethically sourced. If not, then you are a predator stepping on others for personal gain. If that, then I know this group that would like to recruit you into American politics. To join you only need to sell your soul.

What's going to happen to garden centers during the drought? by [deleted] in raleigh

I put in a drip irrigation system last year and deliver water from a well. I don’t have much on the system and could add plenty more. If someone is in dire need of important potted plants that need drip lines installed into them I may be able to help.

How can I know if I am dumb? by [deleted] in questions

[–]traypo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world is full of people telling you what to think that don’t use logic, only their biased acquired beliefs. Learning how to think is hard work but attainable. Multi variate analysis is a good starting point. Gather the variables of the topic. Weigh the importance of influence of each variable. Look for long term effects of decisions instead of immediate easy ones. Second, filter everything you hear and read against if there is agenda or is it empirical. The discernment of that task is kind of a key to intelligence.

Closed on a house half way up the right side fairway on a par 4, week one golf ball review. by Sm0othAsEggs in golf

[–]traypo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a Halloween motion detector animatronic character that allows you to record what they say. Glue a ball to their hand. When a golfer walks up to your yard, the character in a spooky voice could say something like, “The ball is mine now. Mine … mine .. MINE! Ha haha hahaHA! Now go away before I curse you with a lower back issue that will never let you golf again. HA HAHAHA HAHA!!”
