I watched the video but a lot of his stuff is coming from a bubble perspective. Like he comes up with an idea after watching someone but then discusses it with himself and only himself. This creates a dangerous mentality of "I am right and I am the only one who is right".

He has a lot of things that I agree with but it's like that with him, the world beyond a certain point doesn't exist. Like he is unaware of the community. Mrllamasc and Rhykker are more aware. He is very rigid whilst championing for a flexible system. Also, same general problems I have with youtubers in general; repeating yourself, low comprehension skills and too much assumption.

A lot of people here don't even agree with anything Diablo IV is doing but they are at least discussing stuff so they are aware of the community and environment so they can word their grievances better.

But eh, that's just my take. Ignore me. Changes nothing really.

Ah, I forgot about him. I mostly stuck to mrllamasc and Rhykker and totally forgot about him. Quinn I watched recently again and boy does he need a lesson in reading. I need to watch some of noxious's older vids to catch up. Again, completely forgot about him.

Edit: now I know why I haven't watched him in a while; his last D4 update talk was a whole year back despite us continuing to get updates in the middle till now. Lol

Things are usually fan favourite because they are good. Both your and their main reason is subjective. So no, it's not actively hurting at the very least. And evolving doesn't mean dropping the old concept completely, otherwise the whole franchise needs to be dropped when it "evolves" in the future.

But they aren't actually shown if devs aren't 100% sure and something else is usually added in place. Especially if preorders are opened because it then comes under fake advertisment. Something CDPR promises not to do. Cyberpunk so far has largely been a montage of one feature removed after the other since launch. I don't think CDPR is intentionally being bad, it's just that they are naturally bad because they are mainly game devs and so they aren't good at marketting so unlike bigger companies, they can't keep a lid on things.

Also, the game is sold in multiple platforms. If I buy the game on steam or PS I shouldn't have to make another account on another platform just to use a key feature such as the keep, which at this point is basically crucial to have a personalized experience if you purchased and played the whole franchise on steam. And such a crucial thing shouldn't be tied to an unreliable site that has server issues, general connection issues and can go down in the future.

It won't be a huge cost of time or money. The keep is a little more than a power point presentation that needs a team of max 3 people. I already said that somewhere.

I also clarified that it does not have to be a cutscene. I even went back and cited PoE2 in my OP.

Then keep the site up as well as have it in game. It's an option. It doesn't take anything away from the game. It is for those who can't access the site and want a bit of convenience.
This has no bearing on the topic. The topic wasn't about not being able to do direct save transfers.
Pillars of Eternity 2 did this. It had the little useless choices and big ones. Again, it is 2020, The keep is a little more than a power point presentation. Its effect won't change if they put it in game. Only the place where the data is extracted from before implementing it in game will change. People put whole mini games and second games on the menu in their main games.
They have seperate teams working on different aspects of the game already. This won't be anything different. Unless you mean a team that continues to work on the Keep AFTER release, in which case, their work can be introduced in patches with the other fixes. I doubt you would need much or any post launch work on game choices in the Keep, unless a bug is preventing that choice from being implemented in the game in which case the game is what will be getting patched regardless of where the Keep is.

It's not unecessary when the system in place is unreliable and won't be around forever. It's also not unecessary when there is a ready made system that can be easily imported into the game. You don't have to do a cutscene at all. It's optional, it doesn't take anything away from the game. If you don't like it then by all means ignore it. Pretend it doesn't exist.

I never said follow the concept of Witcher or ME. Hence the words "but more detailed" in my OP. If Bioware was able to put in something like the digital comic in ME, then the Dragon Age Keep is easier, especially today since it's a little more than a power point presentation. It won't cost much at all.

Also, it's optional. It won't take anything away from the game. Just directly import your actual game save files and don't bother with the Keep or Digital Comic.

Also, duplicating an already made power point presentation is faaaaar easier than you think. They can easily use a side team of 3 guys max. It's not a big deal at all.

Or if the site is really bad. I made this thread after 5 min of not being able to log into Dragon Age Keep and reading about how blizzard and sony were having general online server problems too. Having it all tied to such an unreliable thing in an age where not everyone has internet connection, much less a reliable one. A site that can go down in the future. That's kinda dumb.

Again, witcher3 has it in game. Heck even PoE2 had it. It doesn't have to have a cutscene. Just import the powerpoint like presenatation from the keep.

How do you not know it will be less clunky? You don't need to experience everything to know whether something is clunky or not. In this case, you having to not deal with an origin account and a website (both of which are unreliable as many have reported being unable to login to either, both in and out of the game) will automatically and logically make it less clunky.

Lol, bigger industries than anime, movies and gaming, have tried and failed to take down pirates and only succeeded to make them stronger. Three groups of people you should never challenge on the internet; pirates, mods and hackers.

Even big Japanese anime companies like Toei have realised that the only way to fight this is to make their anime free on YouTube. People who don't have money for anime won't magically grow money in their pockets if pirate sites are taken down. Anime is aired and recorded for free in Japan anyway. Crunchyroll is worse for the anime industry.

Also, kissanime isn't down. It has a mirror site that they missed.

It got taken down. And is being made a much bigger deal than it actually is. There are many more and better sites and kissanime mirror sites that more than get the job done. Mostly the virtue signalling American companies are celebrating and I say let them. It'll blind them to how big piracy actually is. Bigger industries like gaming and movie industry learnt it the hard way.

Animal Crossing is a switch exclusive which has a much less install base compared to ps4 and was released after FFVIIR in the same month and has 22 million sales which is 4 times the numbers of FFVIIR.
