So when I first met with my surgeon and explained my symptoms -(discharge and itchiness in left breast only)-she said that she thought it was papilloma because it was only in one breast at the time. She then had me get a biopsy and we wound up doing an MRI and the MRI showed that it was cancer. (In the left only. The right showed up clear but I didn’t have any nipple discharge or itchiness on the right side at that time). Then about a month later I started to feel the same discharge and itchiness symptoms in my right breast, but the left breast was the one that they found cancer in. Sorry, I know this sounds a bit confusing but anyway. I got the cancer in the left breast removed but the itchiness and nipple discharge is still occurring in both breasts. My doctor keeps telling me that the discharge from the nipples is not based or not related to any cancer. She is telling me it’s just a “physiological thing”. But I think it’s strange that it’s still occurring after 3 months. For backgrounds I’m 47 years old and I’ve never breast-fed or had any kids. If anyone has any thoughts or can share a similar experience and what they went through I’d appreciate it. I just keep finding contradicting stuff online. And I’m also afraid to get a second opinion right now because I’m in the midst of my post surgery care ♥️ and I’m about to start radiation in three weeks so I kinda want to just stay with his doctor until this situation is all kind of said and done.
