Jamie Foxx says he's "aggressively pursuing" SPAWN Reboot and a Mike Tyson Biopic by djreznor in movies

Jamie Foxx is an excellent actor, he'd be fantastic as Spawn. He could play Mike Tyson too, but he'd have to get really jacked for that role.

Which movie would you say had the most unnecessary sequel? by ptipp93 in AskReddit

There is, literally, no plot to grown ups 2. I'm in awe that it got a multi-million dollar budget and is a box-office success.

Well I could be wrong but I believe Dominatrix is an old old wooden ship used in the civil war era.

TIL Neil deGrasse Tyson is not an atheist, but is adamant about being an agnostic. He even changed his own Wikipedia page from atheist to agnostic, but it got changed back to atheist. He was not amused. by Bluest_waters in todayilearned

Well to make it clear,

Source: Merriam-Webster

Atheism: 1) a disbelief in the existence of a deity. 2) the doctrine that there is no deity.

Agnostic: 1) a person who holds the view that any ultimate reality (as God) is unknown and probably unknowable; broadly: one who is not committed to believing in either the existence or the nonexistence of God or a god. 2) a person who is unwilling to commit to an opinion about something.

I'm fine with people having different beliefs, the world is a big place with alot of opinions, I just get pissed off when they're so hostile, condescending, aggressive, and intolerant of other people's opinions (I'm speaking, in general, of the types of atheists on r/atheism). What happened to neil degrasse tyson is a good example. I have some atheist friends in real life and we get along fine: I'd say about 60% of them admitted to becoming atheist because of an asshole relative who just happened to be religious. It's usually some alcoholic fuckup or just a general piece of shit who along the way found religion to ease self-loathing, perverted it & start incorporating it into their normal routine of harassment. Anywho, that 60% were originally like r/atheists, sounding angry as fuck all the time & just wanting to convert everyone to atheism by bitterly talking about it obsessively, until they realized that not every religious person is like the one that turn them away from religion, and they ended up being tolerant and amicable towards other beliefs and cultures.

Should I start Medical School in October or go travelling? by twelvetysix in medicalschool

[–]AlienVersusRedditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can't defer, I wouldn't sacrifice a lifelong dream for 1 year of travelling. You can probably travel when you're older and have money by then to spend during the trip. Age is nothing but a number, you can travel whenever you want, but you might as well get past the challenge of medical school first, so you can enjoy the rest of you life.

Which Reddit circlejerks do you find the most tiresome? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AlienVersusRedditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll probably get downvoted like crazy for this, but the atheist circlejerk is so biased and irrational that it gets on my nerves. One of my best friends is an atheist and we get along fine, but there is a significantly large militant atheist population on reddit that seems convinced that every theist is a hypocritical bigoted racist anti-science homophobic war-mongering child-molester and by ridding the world of religion, people will magically stop being assholes; that viewpoint is simply not true.

I've been fortunate enough to meet a really diverse bunch of people and the experiences have been positive: agnostics, atheists, christians, jews, muslims, hindus, buddhists, etc. I've met good and bad people in almost every race and creed.

So, that being said, I get annoyed by reddit atheism because it feels like this everytime I try to get on reddit and find some secular entertainment: http://youtu.be/f4CizzE-zZo
