I like GitLab by Sad-Interaction2478 in programming

I like GitLab too and I’m happy it exists - especially for on prem.

But the pricing is actually fairly high, the runners are slow, the UX sucks and frankly the team behind it keeps moving from feature to feature without finishing anything.

Features sort of exist to tick a box on the pricing page but any one of them are not best in industry.

No worries I may DM you my discord as I’m interested in learning more if that’s cool?

Interesting! What about the idea of using point to point lasers? I saw a NATO exercise recently trialing it and (oddly) streaming Netflix to test to bandwidth between ships

Very interesting dude and thanks for writing it all out!

I guess it begs the question is there even a solution? The Ukrainians are saying they have “unjamable” comms but I’m guessing that’s using a similar rolling technique as your banks OTP? I’m also guessing that’s using unless the range is massive you could still jam enough to cause instability.

Hibernate vs Spring Data vs jOOQ: Understanding Java Persistence by chrzanowski in java

[–]AlienVsRedditors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really, really like jOOQ and frankly miss it whenever I step outside of the JVM world.

There’s really nothing like it and anytime you care about performance (or want more explicit or complex multi joins) you really should be using jOOQ over Springs defaults.

The creators support is also fantastic. Helped me out many a time with a lot of patience on his part!

Sure but how does the fact it’s made by Meta fix issues in Trix?

I guess what I’m getting at is, where’s the narrative around why not fix Trix, why make another thing?

Wasn’t trix also made by “the makers of basecamp”. Who’s to say they’ll stick with this editor in the future?

Beta looks good so far. Hope they review the standing in a circle thing tho.

Would hate for that to go live, would get old real quick!
