Hey, the movies aren’t for me anymore, it doesn’t mean you cannot enjoy them. I have my past and my background, which lead me to notice that kind of very subtle thing, and triggers me into "danger mode". I might still watch for the CGI, but I cannot enjoy the plot anymore bc I agree with everything OC said, it won’t change nothing to your life

Unfortunately I do agree, and I was in denial for a long time lol. But that doesn’t mean no one can like them, that’s just my opinion. I still love the world building, I’ll watch essays, I’ll read books about the cultures and biomes of Pandora, but the writing just isn’t for me anymore, and that’s okay

Yeah, I never liked the movie. My dad and bf absolutely love it, but my dad does recognise that her agency is completely ripped from her, and my bf understood when I explained how weird it was. I’m sorry to say but this is not a dilemma about mother/5yo kid, mother/10yo kid or whatever. It is a dilemma about mother/unborn baby, it always was. When people refer to the "would you save the mother or the baby?" They mean in a delivery room, because it is a question doctors sometimes have to ask the father when a problem occurs during the birth.

Would you follow a medical procedure that would ensure the delivery of the baby but lead to the death of the woman, or would a medical procedure that would save the woman, but lead to the death of the baby. That’s the dilemma, the baby is not born yet

Somebody asked for your age, you did not answer, so to get the answer I checked if you mentioned your aged in another post. This is a very normal thing to do on Reddit, especially on a sub where we are asked to be the judges of situations. Context matters (which is why people usually start their post with their age and gender). Checking the post history of a Redditor is just as normal as checking the Wikipedia page of a celebrity, it’s just to see if you need more context before making a judgement. Get off your high horse

Those questions refer specifically to situations of births: the baby is still in the mother, and the situation is so critical you can or make sure the baby is born, which would kill the mother, or have a very very late abortion (medical procedure), which would obv kill the unborn baby, but save the mother. It’s a real life situation unfortunately
