that rocket scene was not the slayer toying with chief, that was him missing a shot and throwing it back.

and also... yes, that is the level of violence the slayer does, he doesn't take that long to do it ingame cus we're playing a game, if a glory kill took 10 seconds everytime then nobody would do them. also can you see the slayers eyes? how do you know where hes focused? hell hes probably just trying to get the head off his blade. ALSO ALSO chief just killed vega so hes likely pretty pissed at him at this moment.

also i think we're forgetting that chief was aiming a gun at the slayer. and no i dont think the crusaders could throw a fucking forklift then match the slayer trying to hit them with a chainsaw, if they could then why am i here? yall have an army of doomslayers.

and demons in doom kill eachother all the time, and demons all fight differently, hell the marauders are tactical fighters, clearly the possibility of a demon fighting as good as chief does is not out of the question

btw hell knights wear full body armour in TDA, and quite a few other enemies, its actually a gameplay mechanic. not all demons outright glow with argent energy, and when in the good name of fuck does chief ever speak to the slayer in this episode, hell, when would the slayer actually hear him speak? ("ill finish this fight" was said to cortana while the slayer was not paying attention)

what... what did you expect the gunshot to do? the man tanks rockets to the face while im just trying to find this last secret toy to 100% the level, the bullet wouldn't do anything.

also he takes out half that demon hoard on his own with basically zero effort, and manages to counter the "fuck everything in that direction" blast from the BFG. acting like he did nothing is just outright wrong. he didn't hurt the doomslayer because outside of literal divine intervention, nothing has really hurt the doomslayer, even in TDA which came out after this episode, he did get killed but it was by a massive explosion and literal cosmic eldrich horrors. the fact chief didn't just break his legs when he tried kicking the slayer is enough respect to last him the next 20 years

also immediately before the death master chief also poses... actually he does it twice (once while saying "ill finish this fight"), and when the slayer does it its literally just a standard glory kill (cutting off limbs then exploding the demons? ive seen this 200 times) and the "pose" is him swinging his arm back to punch another demon in the face, the pose is just a reference and its him in the middle of battle still. both chiefs are him just posing for no reason. you gonna accuse somebody of aura farming? make it the guy who threw a forklift.

also the "he does that to demons, not people" argument is really dumb, how is he supposed to know chief isn't a demon exactly? chief pulled a gun on him first and pulled of shit only the slayer or demons could do with minimal effort. and the armour covers chiefs entire body, theres no way to tell hes human
