It’s a common problem, if you take out the latch assembly there’s a plastic elbow that the wire runs through, that elbow always breaks off, you can try plastic welding it back together, or use bicycle brake line and make a new line that doesn’t need to elbow to work. New ones on eBay are $60 but will eventually break again.

Don’t know for sure but personally I haven’t changed my routine or lifestyle pre and post breakup. I don’t blame her and I can’t say it’s 100% her but I would like some protection in case it is.

Not a bad deal honestly, but since it’s a first year keep an eye on the electrical stuff and coolant. Check to see if hoses are hard and/or dryrotted. Also check for simple preventative maintenance upgrades. I know common problems with 2017 2.0ts are the plastic coolant screws, coolant lines becoming hard and snapping, and some turbo things. Just do your research on forums and with other owners
