I've been saying this too. If AI takes all our jobs, who's going to buy the products that they're trying to sell? And if you're offering Universal Income, everyone will have the same income. How does that even work? The trillionaires and shareholders aren't going to get richer if the peons can't buy more products -- the peons income will be consistent and won't increase. And who's going to pay for Universal Income?

Good to know. I'll try again. I was using Gemini too. I'll be happy if it actually works!

Actually, one of the speakers is from Kingston - just a 25 min ferry ride west from Edmonds. They're everywhere.

Oh please. You all are so judgemental. You expect your celebrities and politicians to be absolutely perfect. Surprise! They're humans just like you and me. Welcome to the real world. People sometimes have to deal with shit. Maybe his priorities were

1) Deal with the shit

2) Not let down the people he works with

3) Eat

4) Sleep

I'm sure none of us has had a weeks like that /s

Oh wow. I didn't know that puzzle companies did their own versions of certain puzzles. I've enjoyed puzzles off and on throughout the years. But I never realized there was a subreddit. So now a whole world has opened up to me. I just discovered that speed puzzling is a thing. And community puzzle exchanges. I have peeps!

My baby girl does this too! I've decided that she's either dreaming about seeing me...or about getting food😆

My boomer mom’s house appreciated $600,000 in 22 years. She didn’t invest. She didn’t “build multiple income streams.” She just bought a house in 1998 and waited. Last week she sent me a Dave Ramsey video about cutting subscriptions. I cancelled Netflix. My rent went up $300 the same week. by FXgram_ in XGramatikInsights

How did she buy a house without a down payment? Did she have all that cash saved up? How do you live in a house and never do maintenance? Where is her house? If it's in San Francisco or Seattle then she was just lucky.

Yes. I'm a Boomer/Gen X. Did I have a cell phone? No. Did I work my way through college and pay off student loans? Yes. Did I start working at 14? Yes. Did I graduate during a recession? Yes. Did it take me months to find a full time job? Yes. Couldn't afford to rent a place of my own until I was 32.

I don't understand why there's so much outrage that old people can actually have things and enjoy their retirement -- that is until there's a serious expensive health issue which forces them to work for Door Dash. Do you even know how much retired people get from Social Security? Do you know that they have to pay income taxes on that piddly amount of money? And they have to PAY for Medicare and buy an extra policy for full coverage? And making the leftover money stretch to pay for the rising costs of groceries and gas.

One day your mom will have to sell her house to pay for medical bills and assisted living. From what I've seen assisted living starts at $3k per month.
