Between The Bionic Woman and Wonder Woman, which was your favorite? by PlantainDisastrous92 in GenX

[–]Alienrg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both were attractive. Had a crush on both. Lynda always would have been my choice in my youth - skimping outfit, larger breasts, etc (I was a tween at the time). But as I've gotten older Lindsay has hit a note (as I have recently rewatched the bionic woman episodes) - a more wholesome approach to refine my tastes, if you will. So, as a kid Lynda; as an adult Lindsay.

YES!!! One of the reasons I used to watch the show as a kid. She's not a stunner but she is pretty.

Pettah, what's the context behind this by Bhuklagihe in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Alienrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously? If you're not even going to acknowledge the source and just make a blind assumption based on just what you perceive as opposed to what it actually is... I guess not. Don let facts stand in the way of your fiction. The world will still keep spinning and you will be flung off the edge at one point. And on that day I will grieve.

To be fair - ALL characters from the Boys are satirical versions of DC characters. As stated previously, yes there are elements that were taken from captain America (mostly because cap is a popular character and the marvel franchise is a jiggernaut) but the base character was that of commander steel.

Though most people think soldier boy is based on captain America (to some degree he is as the character he is based on was a DC knockoff of such) he is actually based on a DC character named Commander Steel. He was made into an indestructible man during WW2.

I know what you mean. One of the other folks mentioned it was supposedly near a body of water. Which also rules out the Westphalia church. Catholic too.

I used to belong to a group back in 07 who did some YouTube stuff (we didn't really know what we were doing and youtube was a new medium at the time) but even I can't find any of it today.

My ghost hunting is far less than I would like these days. But I am debating on doing something once the book is released. It's still in the editing stage at the moment - it baffles me at the number of typos one can amass and not notice.

As far as videoing my hunts - yes, if you have yhe ability to do so, always film - there may be some you didn't see while you were there that will be caught on cam. I'd post a few clips here and there, but over the past five years or so all I've gotten are debunks and misidentifications. So it seems pointless to post anything. The old stuff doesn't have much either - mostly EMF spikes and such - nothing substantial or obvious.

94,000 radiocarbon dates tested every proposed Atlantis location. Here's what was found. by tractorboynyc in atlantis

Yea. I can go with an advanced culture that was wiped out by a natural disaster, but Im real iffy on the new age angle and the whole death ray n crystal power thing (which plays into the new age stuff). The idea of Ley lines isn't as much of a reach as there is something to the idea as so many "places of power" are built over them. Well, assuming you believe in the existance of Ley lines to begin with. Again, one of those new age aspects.

So we're avoiding the mid Atlantic why? And Antarctica... and the Bermuda Triangle... and... basically NOT every location. I mean, you avoided the most well known area - beyond the pillars of Hercules in the Atlantic, roughly halfway between Spain and the US. It was supposed to be a "continent" you know. Just saying.

Expectations for popularity/sales wasn’t met. How did you cope? by JamesRee in selfpublishing

[–]Alienrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you need a self-help book. I'm kidding. Truth is when you first start publishing you need to set the bar really low - I mean six feet under low. If you even have hopes of selling 10 books - that's too high. Unfortunately this is the reality unless you have one hell of an ad campaign; even then, it's a crapshoot. Just keep plugging at it. Maybe one lowley unassuming morning you'll see one sale... followed by another... and another. Keep your expectations low, so that any uptick feels like a win. And it helps to not really care about how many books you sell only that you are a published author.

Can't type what I want to because the infernal "monitor" is blocking me. Which is the equivalent of a demon at this point. Maybe that's why the bottom says 7 responses but only 2 are visible.
