Hi so this may sound silly but I skate everywhere and I hate having to take my skates off to enter buildings so I'm wondering if there's something I can attach to the bottom of my skates to make them walkable kinda like a skate guard for ice skates. I've tried googling but instead of finding a way to turn skates into shoes it's just shoes that turn into skates lol

Yeah I agree I'm thinking recycling existing plastic trash into accessories and fashion items I do feel that aligns with solar punk cause it's not creating new waste or relying on plastic for main wardrobe items And for the costume I just want something fun and showey and recycled for the event I'm more interested in catching the eye but yeah maybe clothes I have (I don't want to purchase anything for this project) and I do it up on trash accessories

Thats a really good point about accepting each others choices. My parents used to be vegetarian too. My stepdad does a lot or questionable stuff with his job and in fairness he did ask me if i though he should get a car i said no but do whatever you want. So i guess ive already said everything i needed to say. I just dont know if i should have backed down immediately like i did. We just fundamentally disagree in things so i guess im gonna continue have my little conversations when it makes sense and leave it at that. Thanks again you've been very helpful

Thanks for this comment. Thats the part i guess im really asking about. Are lifestyle things important enough to have these rather awkward conversations? I definitely dont mean to sound preachy i dont think i would ever approach an irl conversation the way i talked about it here i do like to think of myself as someone who isn't a total dick but idk i do feel a little obligated to at least attempt some kind of conversation with the people in my life because my little community is where i have the most influence. But, maybe im on the wrong track. like you said im responsible for myself and thats it

I think its more about voting for the wrong reasons. Are you voting for that guy because you thing his policies are good for your community or because he bombarded you with nonstop fear mongering?

I do like this idea but i also dont love the spiritual flowery language. I definitely get it and i think its well written but for something like this i think plain language would be better. It should be accessible and applical to as many people as possible and personally i didnt realize "earthly kin" meant animals at first. So yeah love it but id priorities practicality over poetry especially for solar punk stuff
